    Agreed. I'm currently overseeing Party and the next update (which I can't guarantee will be soon, but it will be as soon as it can be) will have monetisation, unless anything goes drastically bad.

    First time I've seen this idea. Honestly, I think it's great, and I'm going to look into getting this done.

    Agreed, it should have been released ages ago and I should have pushed for Party 2.0 to be released ages ago. However, I'm now currently overseeing Party and will do everything I can to get Party 2.0 as soon as possible. (Again, no promises it will be any time soon. However, I will promise I will do everything I can to get it out as soon as possible).

    Also, it's not as easy as flicking a switch - since Party 2.0 was coded and tested we updated our backend, which means the gamemode needs to be updated (updates which need to be tested). We also need to have a developer ready to support the gamemode when it is released - we can't just release an update and leave it at that, we need to support it with updates, changes and bugfixes afterwards. Since Party 2.0 will be our first gamemode appropriately monetised and with enough player retention, I will also be trying to get proper advertisement in place for Party 2.0, which will take some time and isn't very easy to do.

    Competitiveness definitely has a baring on monetisation. See Hypixel - the gamemodes with the most boosters are Mega Walls and UHC, by far - despite not being their most popular gamemodes. However, they are the most competitive. Obviously it's impossible to do without a healthy playerbase but we have competitive gamemodes with healthy playerbases - CTF and Raid. I'm currently working on trying to get the old WarZ community interested in the gamemode again, which'd give us a third.

    Another issue with Party is it has very poor long-term player retention, hence why it doesn't have a community. Most Party players play for a few weeks and then stop playing, the only reason why it's popular is it has good short-term player retention and is very attractive to new players. Most players don't stick around for long enough to donate.

    That doesn't mean Party's going to have no monetisation - it's gonna have as much monetisation as we can. However, we shouldn't rely on Party for monetisation.

    I think it didnt help when minecraft had its little fall of players but i believe since minecraft is on a come up and a lot of my friends and I are playing again a bit of publicity could defiantly make the server grow as some of there game modes are unique and fun to play that some servers dont have to offer
