    Hey guys-

    I’ve had the pleasure over the years to see folks get banned for their names. My favorite to date is longcoc, but I’m sure I could pull up a few other amusing examples if I dug through chat logs. Most of the bans were because the names either were, or sounded like, vulgar terms.

    I do want to bring up the exception of the well-known player known as Twhat. Everyone on the server knows that this is a very close spelling and homophone of a slang term describing female anatomy. If you still don’t know the term, remove the silent ‘h’ and google the term.

    My point is that he should be name banned, but I also want to say that indecency varies from community to community. Something one community may find acceptable may be unacceptable to another, and raid indeed has its own culture and community. I therefore kindly request that you vote whether Twhat has a name you believe is vulgar.

    The name is equally similar to "what" as it is to the expletive you're referring to.

    I use slang and swear probably as much as anyone else and I had literally no idea that 'twat' refers to a p*ssy (in addition to 'a stupid person') until now. Maybe I'm just super ignorant but I legit did not know and have never used the term in that sense. It's completely possible that Twhat isn't either

    also just because he's got a user similar to a word, one of whose definitions (and I assume the less common one) refers to something "vulgar" doesn't mean he should be name banned. It's nowhere near as obvious as 'longcoc' or any of the other users which clearly refer to sex (or words whose only definition is sexual)

    I honestly think it should be name banned cuz first of: You prounonce it in finland as 'Twat' (He has said it himself) 2nd: He has 2 mean/Disrespectful names on his alts: TheMel0nIsBot and CarnotaurosIsBot. I think he should get a ban on all of them untill they change name to something proper.

    It is inapropriate. But not clear enough to warrent a ban. For example most people might see this world as a sysnonim for the world silly.

    I do however see CarnoIsBot as something where if I was incharge Id ban... thus making them change and appeal. But im not in charge so whatever SoCool21 said stands.

    Ign is fine and has been forever, why ban now?

    Honestly I wouldn't ban someone for putting "CarnoIsBot" as an ign cause its not exactly inappropriate. It isn't anything censored and makes no sense to ban.

    I had the ign "TheCondom27" and wasn't even banned for it back then, so I highly doubt that putting IsBot at the end of someone else ign is really worth a ban :/

    Most people I know pronounce it T what not Twat lol like @TheMel0n does like Moist said if it’s been fine then why ban now?
