Idea Universal Basic Income instead of /kit

I’ve been reading about Universal Basic Income (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_income) and think that instead of offering kits, we just give players 5-10 gold for every day they log in, and 25 gold the first time they log in. This would let them buy any food, armor, etc. It also would encourage players to return to the server on a daily basis, yet not push too much inflation. And finally, it would encourage production and sales of goods people want, and not just push kit items (I don’t have a use for most of the kit stuff other than to sell it).

1) it’s an incentive for players to return every day if they get a little bit of gold
2) players can pick their goods, and not be forced into whatever is in the kits
3) this soaks up all of the cheap supply of goods and makes the more experienced players richer

That happens now

 

Not much gold, and not much more than if they logged in, did /kit and sold all their stuff. I’m talking 5-10 gold per day. Also, mining for 10-15 minutes and finding a single gold vein gets that much gold anyway.

 

Could be a 5 minute minimum...?

 

It would be allowing you to buy anything you want from shop with the money.
