What Raid Needs

So I see 2 options:
1) Make raid fully 1.7 not just plugins and try to get some of the verterans back. However this is highly unlikely since most of them are 20-25

2) Update to 1.14 and make the pvp system to 1.8. However i am 100% sure than there is not enough time left to do this till 10th august.

So as for this map i think it is best to leave it as it is at the moment (except for the few bugfixed and balance changes) and have intense discussions with all parts of the community (pvpers trackers builders and salesmen)

 

Useless to get veterans back. Stop thinking that just because you get some of your players back that originally played, that the server is prospering. It isn't, if anything, it's hurting it. The best option is to gather a NEW community and NEWER players. That is what will make Brawl

I don't like how you're thinking, you want to keep a small community happy, rather than try to get a bigger one. Minecraft's interest has skyrocketed, even passing Fortnite and everyone is coming for 1.14, there is so many opportunities that you can create by switching over the server. THERE IS NO HARDCORE SURVIVAL SERVER LIKE RAID IN THE CURRENT VERSIONS, and once someone makes an effective one, it's gonna blow.

 

I agree on all these points. I’d agree that 1.14 has stability/performance issues, but raid on 1.13 (with combat of 1.8) is ideal.

I also play on a different server (I won’t advertise it other than ‘Its the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft’) and that server is basically survival and updated to 1.13. It has become is so popular it’s got hundreds of players in queue at any time, tons of players pay $20/month to get priority queue, and is only going up in popularity. That server also is full map (border at 30 million) and has never reset. If I had a vision of Raid, this would be it- a massive, never-resetting map with the Raid features of trackers, shop, teams, and warps but otherwise vanilla survival. The resets wash away everything that we do, and some of the draw of that server is nostalgia, the ability to work on builds and traveling for years, and the slow rise and fall of teams and factions. Putting Raid plugins to a massive 1.13 map would be an experience I’d love to try.

 

I agree none of these things. Mimecraft's latest versions are bull of ****. And how can you Even Make hardcore If it's 1.14

Resets keep Raid fresh. Map's length should be 10-12weeks

1.14 doesn't promise the servers going to have another big boom but 1.7 sure as hell doesn't. Bump it up and give it a chance. This is the best shot it's got.

No thats stubborn and wrong as well. There is 0 difference between 1.14 and 1.7 if the enchanting and pvp is fixed. Everything else ( end nether biomes is better) Also i dont want this gay swimming thing. Frostwalker and depthstrider would loose a bit of their purpose then

But as i said this wont be possible to code this till 10th august so take your time during the next half year and code it without bugs

 

If we upgrade, I come back until everyone decides to not upgrade to 1.50. That's already like... one-eighth of the player base? Include the current peak that the game's at and the number of players that could access the server, and we've potentially got half a server.

 

You seem to be a bit angered because someone doesn’t agree with your opinion, yikes. I’ve played HCF on 1.7, I’ve also played a **** ton of 1.14 and it’s way better than whats going on right now. It’s not that I don’t like how it is right now, but YOU smartass seem to be running out of ways to trigger someone and blurting stuff out your mouth. Stop being so closed minded lol

 

I have been working close with raid and 1.14 there are things we need to consider or change before 1.14 is added.. Becuase really form what I have seen, people want a Hardcore raid server and without changing certain things in 1.14 we can't achive that.

We don't have 1.14 ready to impliment and it might take a bit of time to sort all these things, so in my opinion we just have to wait till we are ready. Since going to 1.14 means we can't come back it won't hurt to try 1.7 things while we wait. We do know that 1.7 will get us some people to return as I said before evidence from other servers starting.

It all depends on if we add 1.14 or not.

Anyways, you guys are mostly seeing the 1.14 upgrade from the perspective of "og hardcore" raid players, who don't even play.

 

It would cost you MORE time trying to get 1.7 in than 1.14 bro, also

As I have said already, stop trying to get people who left to return. Start thinking about creating a new community rather trying to get your old failed one back.

 

Up untill now it has mostly Been twhat and his team mates giving all the idea. Necro and CalledRainer too. This thread has been good.

And as for what you said before, you don't mind the messa biones that are full of gold?
