☰ What is QuickShop?

QuickShop a shop similar to the mcpvp shop system that easily lets you buy, sell and check the price of items. It will consist of four commands, /buy, /sell, /count and /price.

Please note: The current shop will not be replaced with this, even if it gets added. It will just be an extra feature for shop users. You can still access the traditional shop with /shop.

This has been suggested multiple times, but I figured I'd make a proper thread on it, to get some opinions on it - so please leave your thoughts below and vote on the poll!

☰ Different commands

As mentioned earlier, QuickShop has four commands:

• /buy [item] [amount] [max price]
  • This command lets you quickly buy an item from the shop without having to enter the shop GUI. The max price parts indicates that you will not be able to buy the desired item for a higher price than the price you entered.
    • If the item entered in the command doesn’t exist, an error message will be displayed in chat: This item doesn’t exist!
      
      
    • If the item price is higher than the max price you entered an error message will be displayed in chat: The max price you entered is too low. This items lowest price is [price].
      
      
    • If the item isn’t in the shop an error message will be given: This item isn’t up for sale!
      
      
    • If you have insufficient funds and error message will be displayed in chat: You can’t afford this item! This item costs [price], your balance is only [balance].
• /sell [item] [amount] [price]
  • This command lets you quickly put an item up for sale on the shop.
    • If the item entered in the command doesn’t exist, an error message will be displayed in chat: This item doesn’t exist!
      
      
    • If you do not have the item entered in the command in your inventory an error message will be displayed in chat: You do not have this item!
      
      
    • If you’re selling an item for a higher price than the lowest on the market a message will be displayed in chat: Are you sure you want to sell this item for [entered price]? The lowest price for this item is [price]. Type yes to continue.
• /price [item] [amount]*
  • This command will show the current lowest price of an item. If an amount is entered, the lowest total price for amount would be shown instead.
    
    
  • If the item entered in the command doesn’t exist, an error message will be displayed in chat: This item doesn’t exist!
    
    
  • If the item isn’t in the shop an error message will be given: This item isn’t up for sale!
• /count [item]*
  • This command will count the amount of the item (entered in the command) in your inventory. If no item is entered in the command the item in your held hand will be counted. The final result will be displayed in chat like this: You have [amount] [item](s).
    • If you do not hold an item in your hand nor enter an item in the command an error message will be displayed in chat: You did not enter an item to count!

☰ Blacklisted items

There are some items that you shouldn’t be able to buy with QuickShop. You will also not be able to use the QuickShop while you’re within 512 blocks from spawn without spawn protection (meaning that you can use the commands inside of spawn when you have spawn protection). The blacklisted items will with reasoning be listed below:

• Item: Mushroom stew (Soup).
  • Why is this item blacklisted? If mushroom stew or Soup would be buyabale in the QuickShop, people could create macros to immediately refill their inventory when needed. This would create an unfair advantage and ruin PvP. This would also deem recrafts next to useless.
• Item: Potions.
  • Why is this item blacklisted? If potions would be buyable in the QuickShop, people would easily buy new potions making escaping and running away easier.Remove this part? Even though this is true it’s not too big of a deal and would make PvPing easier since potion pvp is essential and a lot more fun.
• Item: Tools (All pickaxes, swords, axes, shovels and flint n’ steel).
  • Why is this item blacklisted? If tools would be buyable in the QuickShop, player could easily buy a new sword or axe during PvP if their sword/axe breaks - they could also buy a pickaxe really quickly if they need to escape.
• Item: All armor pieces.
  • Why is this item blacklisted? If armor would quickly be purchasable players could easily buy i.e. a new helmet when their helmet breaks in a fight - making the fights last way longer than they normally would.

 

I fix

 

I'm thinking of reworking this thread (I wrote it a long time ago but didn't post it), and just make sure that it will be disabled within 512 blocks of spawn, and with no restrictions (except soup) away from there.

 

With quickshop you can create macros to buy stuff instantly, meaning no refills, or even without macros. Have /buy 8 soup 1 copied to your clipboard and you can refill in one second, meaning endless fights.

 

I think just blacklisting soup is a better alternative here tbh
