As the title says, this is just a way to interact with the current community and inform them on upcoming changes/hot development topics that the staff team is currently thinking about doing. Not only does this help your relationship with your players, it helps people get insight into what might get changed in specific servers, or overall global. I know there is stuff that obviously cannot be posted like projects being worked on, or classified information, etc. but there is many other things that can be posted. I'm not asking for the 100% dedication of the staff team, avoiding everything else to work on Brawl, but there should always be something being worked on, talked about, brought up. That's just progress works. Besides that, it doesn't necessarily have to be weekly, it can be bi-weekly, monthly, just something that helps us keep communication with the staff team and player base strong and improve it. This is your chance to either make it or break it soldiers.

Good suggestion, how would you propose they send this? A discord channel? Email? Web page?

I like the idea as well. They could possibly send it out in the in-game mail system that they have currently have, or could have a discord channel on their discord to post these weekly updates. A few other ideas come to mind, but those are my #1s.

    • Weekly updates on the elite page, even if there's nothing happening or projects are just being continued
    • Monthly updates on the MVP page
    • Completed projects previewed on the VIP page a week before release
Organisation might be a hassle but it costs nothing, helps with goodwill and gives another incentive to buy ranks (plus the forums actually get used). Important to make it known that nothing in the MVP/Elite sections is final though, so people don't get pissed when plans fall through.

This used to be a thing of sorts, years ago. An admin (usually putty or Sig) would create a thread (for example, Wild West) that listed all the progress for the game mode or whatever they were working on. In Wild West's case, the thread was created to hype people up for the original launch of it, and contained a list of things that were 100% completed, things that needed to be tweaked (I believe), and things that they hadn't finished yet. They would color code these things and would post updates in the comments of that thread along with editing the original. I couldn't find this thread in particular, but I remember it existing for this along with several other games/updates that were being put out.

I agree, but I'm thinking it should be in a different format. When we're working on a project that we're willing to share details about, we should make a thread with a list of everything that needs to be done, and the progress on each thing. We've done this before with Wild West and I remember it being done with War 2.0 (I can't find it, though).

This is for changelogs for released updates. Not sure why it isn't being used anymore - will try and get it used again.

This can also be done for ideas that have been approved and are being worked on by staff, doesn't always have to be a game update. Can be stuff involving maps, reworking certain rules, something that lets the general public of our community know whats going on. So they can expect what is coming and this time around, everything that is going public is going to get done.
