Idea Increase Grappling Glitch Ban Length

    Grapple glitching has become a serious issue, and 1 hour just doesn't make sense for a glitch that is close to equal to blinking on a client. I propose that the length of ban for grapple glitching be increased from 1 hour to 3 days, with ride-alongs being included in these bans.

    A progressive system may be more fitting, with 1 violation resulting in a 12 hour ban, the second resulting in 3 days, and 3+ resulting in a week ban, with a possible perm ban for continuous abuse.

    you get banned for blinking first offense, grapple glitching is literally the exact same thing but without an external client. at the very least the first offense should be a day ban, but I agree with the progressive system

    Disagreed - as @tallscot said, grapple glitching is essentially blinking without a hacked client. As a minimum, this should be a 2 week kick for a first offence and a 4 week kick for every offence following.

    I feel that the ban length should depend on what the grapple glitch was used for. If it's used in a fight then a 2-4 week ban would be more than enough, as it changes the outcome of the fight entirely. However, grapple glitching can be used in general to access inaccessible locations to store alts and whatnot. For that I feel a shorter ban (3 days - 1 week) would be more justified, as it doesn't necessarily hinder other people's ability to play.

    That's a fair point.

    To make this consistent with the warning system, I'm going to try and get a new warning category added called "major_abuse". Punishments would be much more severe, depending on the results of the poll I posted in Ritzy's discord. Grapple glitching to get an advantage in fights would fall under this warning, grapple glitching for other reasons would fall under the regular glitch abuse warning.
