What is your in-game name? - buhmblebee, though in game I'm referred to as Bloom or Bloomishly.
Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - Yep, I'm the only one with access to it with a secured password.

How old are you? - 19
What time zone are you in? - CST (GMT-5)
Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - Yes, I can speak English and while my spoken Spanish is pretty good, I struggle with written Spanish.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - I started playing MCPVP in 2013. I originally joined for HG, as I was very into watching HG/SG videos and wanted to play for myself. I started playing CTF and fell in love with the gamemode, and I would play as much as I could. I wasn’t very good, as I played on trackpad and averaged about 15 fps, so I eventually stopped playing. I returned a couple of times, but never truly stayed until about August 2015, which is when I discovered that MCPVP had shut down and moved to Brawl. I joined The Crusaders in November 2015 (and have been on the team since), and have been involved with the CTF community since, playing matches, events, PPMs, and joining teams as a chat random/merc.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I have not moderated any Minecraft servers, though I do have experience moderating/being an admin for discord servers with over 1000 people.
Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - There are plenty of times I can remember that there have been hackers on CTF and the players would just have to wait until the autoban would strike because there were no mods available. While I am not the best at detecting hacks, I do want to learn how to detect cheaters and take appropriate actions. While appropriately punishing hackers is something I am interested in, I also want to make the community open towards everyone. I have seen too many times a new player logging on, and then logging off very soon after because of how difficult the gamemode appears to be. I’d like the game and the community to be more friendly towards new faces, and even if I don’t get JMod I’ll continue to try and help new players navigate CTF so they might stay for a while. I also want to contribute more to the community. I’ve been wanting to become a PPM host, but sadly whenever I’m free it seems there is no one online or another PPM scheduled. I want to play in and possibly host events within CTF, as well.


Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have not.
Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - I've never been legitimately punished, only being kicked once from the CTF match server for being afk.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - I like being friendly, I’m always trying to see the best in everyone, and I’d say I’m pretty compassionate. I like to listen to others, and I always try to get everyone’s opinions. I might be too nice for some people, but I believe in second chances and I’m usually pretty patient with explaining things.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - I second guess myself a lot, even if it’s something that I know I’m an expert on. I’m not truly confident in all my decisions, or in things that I say, which is why sometimes I refrain from giving my opinion, or follow it up with “haha but what do I know” to try and avoid backlash from being wrong. I’m trying to become more confident and I’m also starting to speak out more, and I’m not as afraid of other people’s opinions of me (hence posting this).

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? - CTF by FAR.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - This is my first application!

Do you have Discord? - Yep! I’m bloom#7547 and I am very active on Discord.

Anything else you would like to state? - – I know I don’t have as much experience as other JMods that have been accepted, but can’t hurt to try right? Even if I don't get accepted I'm going to do many of the things listed on this application anyway. Thank you for looking at my application

Thanks Versions, I'm going to continue to work on this and try to contribute more in ctf discissions. I appreciate the feedback!

 

I said in my application that I am not the best at detecting hacks, so I admit in this field I have not been doing as much as I would like. I'm trying to learn to recognize hacks by watching players in game and watching videos to try and make sure I am confident in my suspicions. My hack detection skills still very much need work however, and I'm willing to put in the work towards that.

As for new players, I try to answer questions as quickly and precisely as possible when asked in chats. One of my mains in CTF is Medic, and if I see a new player struggling I do often try and help them by healing them in battle so they don't feel so overwhelmed by all the premium classes and veterans out PVPing them. Of course this is only a small amount of what I wish to do, I want newer players to know that if they have any questions or concerns I won't judge and I'll try to be as helpful as I can in answering, and if they want more guidance I want to be there to provide it to them.
