    Hey there! I decided to do some research myself and it shows that some servers actually do rank transfers. As you all probably know there is a chance of an account disappearing because either other people manage to log in to it too many times or yourself. This can really be frustrating when it comes to the ranks on Brawl.

    The Brawl rules are currently that you're only allowed to transfer your rank within 3 days of purchase. But in 2013 I bought Lifetime MVP for 120$ which I still have, but 3 years later in 2016 I bought Lifetime ELITE on another account for 240$. This account later vanished and got locked and I do not have access to this anymore.

    In my opinion this rule needs to change. A lot of people still have the reciept and should therefore be able to get their ranks back if they can prove they bought it. This is serious, if you purchased something for 240$ and Mojang decides to lock the account you of course want your rank. It's not like it's funny to waste 240 dollars on nothing.

    The rule should be changed like this,
    "If you do not have access to the account you bought your rank on and are able to show full reciept and Transaction ID for your purchase, then it is possible to get your rank back on another account"

    If the first one is not good enough maybe this one would be a thing that we could do instead,
    "If you do not have access to the account you bought your rank on and are able to show full reciept and Transaction ID for your purchase, then it is possible to get your rank back, but you can only do this once."

    I believe this will make a big part of the player base happy since I daily see a lot of players who lost their ranks. Feel free to state your own opinion.

    Money is a big deal, if you purchase something and have transaction ID's or proof you had the other account in the past it's only fair that people get what they so rightfully have owned for ages.

    For around 2 weeks ago I bought ELITE for WarZ on the account “Multilingual” for 14$. However since Triple owned the account once he after 3 days when I was unable to report the account stolen after at lost.brawl.com since it’s been 3 days I was unable to get my rank on another account. A lot of people call me stupid because of getting scammed lien that, but we really need rank transfer in order to really make sure you get what you paid for, no mather when you bought it, it is still rightfully yours. @chickenputty @Lord_Roke @Eil @redslime

    It should be like Wallmart! If you still have the receipt and the item you bought is still there and moveable, unopened you should get it back.

    Let us bring up an argument to encounter my idea,

    “With this method added Brawl will make a huge money loss and if people do not buy new ranks instead of keeping the current one on different accounts. This will also result in mistake of who really owns the account.”

    To add another pro argument for the contra i just stated it will sound like this,

    “After I and many other people bought ranks they did not receive there were a lot of anger rather than the willing to buy new ranks. If you have the rank rightfully you and correctly you will in the future have the will to buy a new one. I am currently in need of ELITE but do not want to buy a new one because I believe that is wasting of money since I just bought one. And if you can show proof of your full receipt with the transaction ID code on the forums account you have the rank on it should be enough proof that the rank belongs to you.”

    Your accounts are your responsibility. To get an account locked/stolen, you either didn't own the account in the first place (and by own, I mean actually purchased it), or someone has compromised your account; either through failure to follow general security best practice, or the unlikely event that your account was actually cracked, despite having a strong password.

    If your account is compromised, in most cases, the account will not be locked. From there it is a simple case of resetting passwords through your email and security questions. If your account compromisation goes to the question/email level, then you can use your purchase TID via Mojang to retrieve the account. As you say, if you have a receipt, they may unlock your account - What they won't do, is give you a completely new account. To also quote Warrey "It should be like Wallmart! If you still have the receipt and the item you bought is still there and moveable, unopened you should get it back." - Our definition of 'unopened' is within 3 days, not 3 years. For an account to be locked permanently, you either don't have the TID, it's been used in multiple locations in quick succession or using dodgy VPNs, or you've requested it unlocked too many times. Mojang usually only gives 1, or 2 unlocks.

    When you purchase an account from someone else, you take the risk that Mojang may lock the account for the above reason (unlikely if it's just a simple transfer). You also take the risk that the original owner, or owners (is your seller the original owner?) may forcibly TID retrieve the account, which can lead to you loosing access, or the account getting locked.

    We do not allow rank transfers, past the initial purchase period for mistakes when purchasing because it opens up several holes for abuse. It can lead to endless stories to get ranks constantly transferred between accounts, to get the perks on each, including faked evidence and we cannot verify the story of each player and account. It would allow players to sell a Lifetime Elite account to another player (with the cost reflecting the fact it was a $240 rank), then request the rank be moved. There are many other possible loopholes, and as I said, to get an account locked is largely entirely the fault/risk-taken of the current owner. We also have to keep a level of fairness, so we can't do special cases, or one offs for people.

    For these reasons we take the stance that we simply do not do rank transfers, and any transfers we do do, are at our own discretion (like if there was a mistake). In the terms and conditions of shop purchase, you agree to, amongst other terms "We will not transfer items, kits or memberships to different accounts.". This rule will not change. All I can advise is that unless you fully own the account, or are sure that anyone you purchased it off isn't going to forcibly take it back - don't spend money on it that you aren't prepared to loose.

    Security Best Practice
    - Use strong passwords: Uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols, at least 8 characters long.
    - No personal detail passwords: Don't use any personal details in your passwords. This includes dates of significance, family/friend names, pet names etc.
    - Don't repeat passwords: Never use the same password twice. If one password gets compromised through a crack, or a site breach, your other accounts won't be at risk of being exposed.
    - Don't expose your passwords: Never write your passwords in public places. Don't tell anyone your password. Don't screen share someone with your password file open.
    - Use 2FA (2 Factor Authentication): Use this wherever possible (email is a must - usually your email is the go to point for resetting passwords on anything), it adds an extra layer of security with a constantly changing unique code to login. Some do it through a text message, or email. Others do it with a revolving code through an App, like Google Authenticator, or Authy.
    - Migrate your Minecraft account: Pre-migration accounts have far fewer security measures behind them, which is why these are often the accounts you see on alt sites. Easy to take away, nearly impossible to get back.
    - Don't click on suspicious links: If in doubt you can check the link through a malicious URL checker
    - Don't download anything from unknown sources, or open files that auto-downloaded and you didn't ask them to.
    - Don't log onto unfamiliar servers: They can get your IP, and possibly steal your session token.
    - When in doubt about a site/server, but need to visit it, use a VPN.

    Of course there is a lot of things you can do, but as you clearly see everyone wants this to change and if we're not open for changes we will continue having angry players who will not stop asking for ranks.
