    Brawl Junior Moderator Application

    Read over this thread: http://www.brawl.com/threads/14752/
    If you do not meet the requirements (active, helpful, must have Discord, etc.) do not apply yet; it will be an auto deny.

    What is your in-game name? – I primarily play on the account Atum, though haver various alternate accounts that I use for storage or other WarZ means. (Memaw, Ankt, Peahen, Petties)

    Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - Yes, my account has been migrated and secured since purchase and only I alone have access to it. This also goes for my main alternate accounts as well.

    How old are you? - I am 22 as of September 2019

    What time zone are you in? - I live and work in Easter Time Zone, though my play schedule can be quite erratic at times.

    Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - The only language I speak fully is English though I have taken a class on the basics of Spanish and have 24/7 access to google translate.

    What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? – I have been playing brawl since 2013 as part of the WarZ community and have been thoroughly engaged in it since its ‘reboot’ just recently. It may sound cheesy, but Brawl has become part of many of our lives, whether big or small. We have all seen it rise and fall in population, but it is apparent to see who has stuck through thick and thin.

    What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I’ve had countless positions in which I gained experiencing in moderating servers in the past. There are only a few worth mentioning;

    Dead Central >> This server was where a large part of the WarZ community played daily during the early months of 2019. It was almost a photocopy of WarZ, but with slightly different mechanics, policies, and procedures. I first joined this server when it was in its early stages and wasn’t quite polished, but it sparked that WarZ in me that I thought was long gone and I wanted to help. I joined up with the owner and instantly joined his team. I had many responsibilities in the role I formed for myself; purchase manager, player base administrator, etc. I created the webstore and did basic website creation and managing. I helped oversee the staff team and investigated reports of players, bugs, etc. Though I put much time into this project, it fell apart when the owner disappeared along with all the servers’ accumulated wealth. I then separated myself from the team and thought the last hope for the WarZ community was over, though I was sparked with joy once I heard of the WarZ reboot

    OPM >> This was a prison type server which held a player base of nearly 150 players daily. I had gotten helper, the equivalent to JMOD on brawl, in April of 2016 and maintained this rank until late June of 2016 when I resigned. My daily duty on this server as a helper was to maintain a safe, family friendly environment in chat as well as help players as needed. I had no access to banning players so when it came to hacking players, it was needed to be brought up to the higher staff. The main takeaway I learned from this position is that players will do anything to try to ‘break’ a staff member.
    (Yes, this portion was copied from my last application due to not having a clear memory of this server)

    ColdPvP >> This was one of the many practice servers that had surfaced throughout the years of WarZ. If you aren’t familiar with what a practice server is, it is as follows; A server based off Brawl’s WarZ game mode in which you spawn in with a kit, therefore eliminating the time needed to loot. The overall purpose is to practice your ‘skill’ using guns and getting better aim and combo speed. I held the position of Mod for nearly 2 months until the server went down approximately 2-3 years ago. My duties on there were to keep an eye on the clicks people were getting and deciding if it was legitimate or not then banning them accordingly. That was my sole duty aside from monitoring chat to keep it family friendly.

    I would also like to add something that might seem like it is un-needed;
    (I am keeping this broad as it is related to my real life and contains private information)

    Park Supervisor >> I supervise the operation department in small-town area amusement park. I have learned many things from this real-life experience; professional customer engagement, effective disciplinary actions for subordinates, etc. The way I handle many things is based off real-life lessons and learnings and not that of my history of online gaming.

    Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? – I understand that there is ample amount of staff right now compared to the amount players on WarZ, though that doesn’t affect my desire to be part of Brawl’s staff team. Since the reboot’s end, I have seen a decrease in the players and staff on. I want to attempt to ride out this high that WarZ is at now in the wave and be part of the discussion for WarZ is headed. I understand this can be done without being a moderator on brawl, though it also would help give a slight increase in the volume of my voice in discussions.

    Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Anyone who answers this question saying no is most likely lying, especially if it is a member of the WarZ community. The last time I used a third-party client to gain advantage was in 2011, prior to purchasing a legit Minecraft account, on cracked servers. This was along the lines of x-ray and kill aura. I had dabbled into some of the popular WarZ clients while managing the player base on Dead Central to see exactly what they allowed and what the movements looked like, though this was purely educational/experimental and not used to advantage in any way.

    Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc.) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? – Yes, I have been punished on servers since I started playing back in 2011, though referring to my history on brawl there is nothing by minor infractions. (I tried looking up my history on punishment history and it didn’t show up) The account Atum has been temp banned once due to a ride-a-long ban when they were first introduced. There was also a false temp ban on the account Ankt for fire glitching. There were a few other chat infractions that I had, though I don’t fully recall them.

    What do you consider your greatest strength? – I do not think highly of myself, therefore I truly don’t think I have any outstanding strengths… but I’ll give it a go. I do not give up easily when it comes to much of anything. I mean… this is my 6th application on Brawl. I also have an overbearing friendliness and helpfulness towards other players. Though due to the nature of WarZ, a lot of people may think I am doing this out of spite or reverse toxicity. I truly enjoy being part of the WarZ community and seeing it and its people grow and change over the years.

    What do you consider your greatest weakness? – My greatest weakness is 100% my activity when it comes to forums. This has and will always be my downfall when it comes to gaming communities, though I have always given it an attempt when it is deemed necessary. My secondary would be my hostile vocal behavior when frustrated, though this is only really heard by anyone within earshot of my house and not by any of the WarZ community. I have put great work into only being present as only a professional and laxed person when it comes to my online image.

    Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? – I only play on WarZ, though that doesn’t fully give justice to my activity. I rarely go a day without getting on for at least 2 hours, whether that time be on WarZ discord or the actual server.

    How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? – I am slowly gathering a small library of my former applications. This application makes the 6th edition and furthers that collection.

    What is the date of the last application you submitted? – I last applied during February of 2017 and it was declined due to a, at that time, recent chat punishment.

    Do you have Discord? – Yes, I am part of the main Brawl discord as well as the WarZ community one. I try to be active when I can on the WarZ discord, whether I am at home or work.

    Anything else you would like to state? – Those of you looking at this application and realized that I have been part of Brawl since 2013 will likely notice that I am not nearly close to being active on the forums, though that should not dictate whether I can be applicable to the staff team. I see Discord servers a purpose quite similar to that of forums; a place for player to discuss ideas, hobbies, gameplay, etc. I feel as if forums are slowly becoming a thing of the past, especially when it comes to smaller game communities such as Brawl/WarZ.

    One of the most common concerns with WarZ applicants is their trustworthiness. As I'm sure you're aware, the WarZ community is typically very toxic. How would we know if we can trust you?

    This is something that can be somewhat trivial to prove, though all it would take is asking around the community. As I stated in my application I have been part of the community for multiple years and have applied for staff numerous times, and I would like to think that I have improved every time. Being untrustworthy would not have gotten me to where I am today.

    From what I've seen of you over the years and since you've come back I see no reason to not give you a +1. You're constantly giving helpful ideas and solutions on Discord.

    Hey man, things won't change if ideas aren't discussed. Doesn't matter if they are good or bad. Thanks for the upvote!

    @Gould_
    Even though you only have 1 gold (Get it? Gould = Gold? nvm) sprinkle on your head I appreciate the +1!
