    War was popular back in the day because it was one of few servers with a gun plugin. Nowadays every server has a gun plugin, including Mineplex and Hypixel.

    WarZ is a unique concept because there's not many servers that live up to the original Arma 2 mod. War used to be unique because it was COD in minecraft. Now it's not. There are dozens of other servers with the same thing, but what made war better than those servers is that it didn't use crackshot.

    The playerbase of Minecraft's online multiplayer scene has been declining for a while. Everyone who used to play here eventually moved on to somewhere else and their forum profiles are littered with posts asking them to come back.

    Just give it up, man. War didn't even have less than 30 players on individual servers back then. At this point you're better off just buying MW2 and playing that.

    Then how come you are actively replying to me on the forums? I’m trying to bring it back. You can go and play MW2 if you’d like but I’m trying to bring this gamemode back whether you like it or not because I believe it is possible. It’s called using a Growth Mindset which will make this project successfull.

    You don't have to be active in game to be on the forums, most people who are on the forums barely play anymore.

    warrey want to form the make war greate again group?

    to be honest, people didnt want the guns to change, in the 2.0 update we wanted more customization, like killstreaks and more perks. We have that but we also now have very bad guns, players wanted a feature update and not a gun update.

    Yeah, the guns were okay as they were, no one complained about them which is why we need them back. However this requires a lot of coding which needs to be made by a talented developer.

    As a small update from talking to staff and Putty the engagement and possibilities for getting a developer for war is low. There are a lot of other issues which makes it not playable which are examples I gave in the first thread page.

    However we can not end here because having a gamemode unplayable scares in general players away from Brawl if they ever try it out. Therefore since the current developers @Paul , @DeZilla and @redslime are busy we should shut it down until some random intense talented developer shows up and asks if there is any job to be done for free?
    @chickenputty what’s the next move

    This is hard for you all because I can’t ask someone to randomly put 1000$ on a server that has 0 players, but if we try that out since WarZ has been going good economically recently we can try out best to make this end up in profit. It sounds weird but what are the plans, I’d like to know.

    Solution: Hytale gets released and we migrate over there

    Honestly though, I'd totally play war again if people were on, but Minecraft isn't what people play these days. Hytale sounds like it'll be super similar to Minecraft, which is exciting because Brawl can make a server on there, and try to become popular again :smile:

    Why don't they just put one war 2 server and one legacy server on the compass. This way the people that prefer war 2 will play war 2, and vice versa. Although, the server is too dead to have people playing in both servers. That's where we run into a problem. But I honestly think they should try this method out and see how it goes. Who knows, maybe that will spark a new wave of people to come back.

    We have discussed this and the current war has a lot of bugs which are known and unable to fix and the higher ups does not know who to hire to fix these issues. Legacy however is really bad coded and needs a complete rework which takes even more time, money and developers. We are currently waiting for @chickenputty to post a message where he will explain the future of
    MC-War, therefore there is not much anymore to discuss in this thread until we get a proper answer.
