Revival of MC-War #MCWarComeback

Honestly, if I knew how to code, I'd do it for free. Back when I used to play on Brawl I've met so many people on each individual server and got known by people when I was a moderator. I appreciated that and would do something in return honestly. If I had the necessary stuff to do this I'd start right away.

This has got to be the reason why every player decided to quit.
I remember even during the testing phase, everyone complained how the bullets sucked. If you ever played war, you would know what the rage feels like when you hit someone, but the bullets don't register.
Everything about war 2.0 is great, except the only thing that has to work --> the guns.

If you really want to start somewhere, then change this issue.

Currently War is kind of on hold. We have some things that we need to do to make it better, especially the problems with the hitreg. Developing time is not being invested into War at the moment, and unfortunately people are going to just have to be patient. We are not abandoning War, we just don't currently have the ability to do very much with it. I don't think that's going to change very soon, but we'll see.

 

You mean 'kind of on a hold' or 'totally ignored for 2 years and even while it was in beta and not even released for public testing these issues were known but the higher ups didn't care'?

 

I mean that at the moment there isn't going to be anything much done regarding War. I didn't comment about the past 2 years.

So are you gonna do anything as mod or will you resign?

 

We have some plans for future to hopefully help bring War back, just nothing immediate. I plan to stick around for a while to help with the revival when it comes time.

1.0 slightly revised and balanced gun mechanics with the 2.0 feature enhancements and playablity could really help

 

the problem with legacy war is that orange451 left and didnt tell anyone how to manage pvpgun+ or anything like that iirc

 

pvpgun+ files operate identically to sworn guns, same config types.

actually MCWarfare was literally UltimateArena, both pvpgun+ and UltimateArena are owned now under Dmulloy2, the pvpgun+ files were slightly modified and turned into sworn guns. However orange did save the custom stuff like raygun and crossbow for brawl specifically and didn't dump any trails leading to it.

 

i don't think the problem was adding new content to the plugin. mc updates broke it

 

The prime issue with Legacy War is the terrible coding. It's so messed up that it's nowhere near worth looking into trying to fix it. We'd be better off starting from scratch -- which is exactly what we did with 2.0.
