    Cross Teaming Protocol for WarZ

    Sup Zombies,

The WarZ team cap has now been set to 5 and we are going to prohibit cross-teaming between two teams to completely remove the issue surrounding large teams. Those who cross-team will be warned/punished at the discretion of the staff member. Listed below are examples of cases that are acceptable and that aren't. This protocol is being put in place starting 4/13/2020 as an attempt to cut down on the large teams that are demoralizing the community and making it difficult for players to enjoy the game. This protocol is very similar to ‘Targeting’ on CTF as it would be put in place to make the game more enjoyable for new players that don’t have massive teams.

    Cross Teaming Definition:
Cross-teaming is defined as a group of more than 5 players cooperating over a prolonged period of time by not attacking each other, although they have the opportunity to do so. Cross-teaming can also happen when not purposely fighting another team but simply running around with a group larger than 5. All players across all teams involved in the cross-teaming incident will be punished.

    Allowed Examples -

    • You log in for the first time that day and you see people fighting. You push them and kill the team on the first floor of a building and you notice that the team they were fighting is your friends on the second floor, but their team is full. You proceed to fight your friends on the second floor or logout.
    • Your team is pinched by two different teams of 5 players, and they decide to focus on your team and then fight each other afterwards. This is simply sandwiching and can easily be seen by staff that way.
    • Your team comes across a team that is running up with no loot, and you decide to give them your spare loot and run separate ways.
    • Two teams decide to truce but the total player-count between the teams totals to 5 or less players.

    Punishable Examples -
    • You are playing with a total of 6 players, 3 on one team and 3 on a separate team. Your teams are both fighting the same team and not shooting at each other for multiple fights or a long period of time.
    • You have 5 people on your team but when one dies you have them leave and another friend joins the team to fill their place with loot. Doing this consistently will result in a punishment.
    • You log in knowing that your main team that has 5 members is fighting, and proceed to flank the enemy team they are fighting to pinch them. If this happens multiple times it will lead to a punishment.

What kind of proof is needed?
If you are being cross-teamed on, please record it and send it to a staff member. The video you submit must be very clear and show 6 people together at the same time in a fight to be accepted, we need clear evidence to warrant an actual warning from a report.
Make sure you /team (player) in the video to show the teams & players clearly combined in your chat. We also encourage you to talk to staff members directly rather than just doing /report to explain and give context to the staff member that is helping you.

Staff members are required to record and submit footage so it can be looked at together where necessary. Exceptions can be made in very clear situations and when giving the first warning.

This new protocol will come into effect on Sunday, April 13th 2020.
We hope this protocol will help to get rid of people intentionally ruining the game for others, and make the community a better place.

ALT accounts can very easily come under the 'back-filling' part of this yes.

Update: Back-filling was removed from this protocol on 15th May due to it being extremely hard to moderate.
