I know years ago allowing projectiles like arrows, snowballs, eggs, etc. on the Build servers was shot down because of the lag that it would cause...but I wonder if either the servers have become more robust since, or if there might be a way to allow such testing on the Build server with the help of a MOD under certain conditions (such as only when a map is nearly complete).

Or if there might be some other way to allow restricted and limited testing of projectiles on Build server maps to combat the risk of lag from abuse?

I would love to be able to use dispensers and droppers... we could do so much stuff with them.

I suppose dispensers and droppers would be interesting, but I'd guess they could get too complicated in maps. As for things like player projectiles, if there was a way to reasonably limit their use in map design testing it could be helpful when designing maps on the Build server.

I know maps can be saved and loaded separately and testing can be done more thoroughly then, but any changes that must be made to correct for issues would then need to be mirrored on the site. On that note, there might be a way to load map info from saved/updated files to the Build server, but so far I've only ever worked on maps on the Build server from scratch and I've only saved maps from it...never uploaded maps to it (and at this point I don't yet know how - if it's even possible to load map files into the Build server from a client system). I've always assumed that in order to avoid invalid or corrupt maps, or potential viruses and that kind of thing, it simply wouldn't be allowed at all.
