Lurking to see if War will ever be revived.

Good way to pass time. Although I haven’t logged on the server for over a year now. I still play Minecraft regularly, but use the time for building. (Check Twitter @BrawlLekosa) Last year building became my real job as I joined a build team (company) creating Minecraft Marketplace content for Minecraft (Microsoft). To elaborate on the words ”real job”; my hourly pay was considerably higher than the average pay of a citizen in Finland. However, I’m no longer an employee for the company because I couldn’t put in enough hours due to studying for exams and other life’s time consuming endeavours. After I’ve completed my army training (obligatory in Finland), which starts next year, my plan is to rejoin the team to work full time for a living. If I don’t manage to get back in the same team I’m confident I have the skillset required to join any other top MCM team.

EDIT: The average pay I’m referencing is 15 €/h. Google gives very varying results, such as 27 €/h which is way too high.

I’m active on the Brawl Discords, so while I don’t actually play on Brawl, I get a good idea on what’s happening. For example War is getting ”decent” playercounts (10+ players) consistently during the evening/night (I’m CEST +2). Perhaps I should move on, but following what’s happening in the Minecraft community is somewhat part of my (future) job, so I can justify it. Obviously Brawl’s community isn’t really related to the MC community as a whole lol, but getting rid of something which isn’t hindering my life in any way seems more obsurd.

Good, however, army starts next January. It’s obligatory for Finnish males. Not that I despise it, but I’d rather do something else lol

 

Yes, every male who is fit for military training has to attend at some point after turning 18. Alternatively one can do civilian service for a year.
