    Since nether border is 10k now for some reason; and with the addition of basalt and soul sand biomes traveling in the nether has never been more pain inducing. Imaging tracking something and realizing that it isn’t overworld; and having to travel probably a couple hours through basalt biomes and repair your pick 3 times to get to nether border.

    add something called a nether egg as a purchasable voting reward. Using it will instantly teleport you (or 10 second warp if enemy is nearby) to the nearest open pocket in the nether on the same coords you are currently standing on. This would make making vaults in nether / tracking things in nether such an unnecessary pain. No one wants to travel 10k10k in nether, and to be honest I liked the half border. But regardless, this is my bandaid fix.

    Too OP and p2w imo
    Also imagine you do it at random to set up your own base and then you find someone else's base due to it tping you to it. That would be so stupid.

    I see a couple ways to fix the (no cap) two hour travel time to nether border.

    1. Make nether border 5k. Would half the travel time. Very easy fix.
    2. Make basalt instamineable with a pickaxe. Currently it has the mining time of stone with an e5.
    3. Change world generation so that basalt, gravel, and soulsand dont spawn below y=20 or so.
    4. Something like a nether tunnel egg, that just tunnels 50 blocks infront of you and that you could get from koth or a different event.

    Please fix nether travelling for next map. This is something that NEEDS to be fixed, and soon.

    No none of all that. Just make y levels 5/6 and 120/121 to netherrack.

    I like Called's idea, the basalt biomes are too much of a pain to deal with tbh. If you're willing to travel the distance deep into the nether, you should be rewarded with more safety. The egg just sounds too easy and takes away a big use of the nether imo

    This is being dealt with. Fret not, young grass hopper, I too realize nether traveling is currently an issue. We will be presenting a solution whenever it is finalized.

    This guy is brilliant, someone give him a raise.

    Where I am from, we call this a Fix fix.
