i don’t know why you would want to go for that dumbass boring flat colored css layout that every site in existence is using

imo the current site design is what makes brawl unique from other servers, just leave it as it is

in regards to this

 

Popular servers tend to use the first letter of their server's name as the logo. Maybe with Brawl's B, it can be redesigned to be more appealing and with the top half of the B, the cutout could be the outline of the current logo, the fist, if that makes sense. Just a thought, can't really draw this idea out cause I'm not good with that stuff

 

Use the 3D Minecraft font for logo letters or other major titles — gives a timeless and official look

Here's a pretty rough logo concept. My premise was to take Brawl's already recognizable fist and to pare it down into something more modern, simple, and sleek - dare I say more "professional," as the guidelines put it. Certainly a step away from the current cartoony logo, and a step towards more conventional contemporary logo designs (imagine Nike, LG, or Spotify).

First impressions may be "that's it?" Yes, it's very plain, almost minimalistic. This is for two reasons. Firstly, I don't have my tablet with me and it's frankly the best I can do right now drawing with a mouse. I'd liked to have spent more time on it and made the resolution better while I was at it, but, given my position, this is all I can submit right now whilst retaining my sanity. But, aside from my technical limitations, the simplicity of the design lends itself to variation, change, and building off. Implementing color, text, or changing elements of this initial concept (say, rounding the edges, filling in the white spaces, or changing the alignment or proximity of the components) is as remarkably easy as the base design is modest. Why not take things a step further? The easy-to-work-with, geometric components of the design would integrate perfectly into a short animation. I'm still just a beginner with animation as a medium, but something not unlike this was what I pictured. Simply stated, it's not only a memorable, recognizable, and uncomplicated design, but there's an abundance of ways to develop and integrate it into something grander or new. Consider it a starting point!

Try to picture it tucked in the corner of a CMS stream, as the end-of-video watermark in a server trailer, or even as the icon on the tab at the top of your browser. No need for something like the current cartoon fist, where colors may not stand out and resizing and resolution are a headache. Just one glance at something simpler and slimmer, and the first thought in someone's head will be "that's Brawl."

Thanks for considering this entry! I'd like to tweak and refine it if given the chance, but, like I said, this is more of a starting point than a final product! I hope it gives some degree of inspiration anyway! Cheers!
