Bro if only my server could get 3 players

Personally I don't regret switching to a newer version, I regret things didn't exactly go to plan but the update itself was a good idea.
Anyone can log on once and see only 3 players online. (weather its coincidence or on purpose)

But having logged on every now and then or very frequently I have noticed that there are new players playing. sometimes 15 or 20. other times 5-10.

We have also had new players joining the forums, making staff applications, using discord etc.

To summarise: The concept was good, the execution wasn't as good.

 

One thing that I've noticed after logging on after a while of not playing, alot of newer players had decided to stay. Some created 6man teams, gain diamond armour/netherite, bought ranks,etc. I also heard bassmaster6 was teaching some newer players the gamemode, including tracking which probably contributed to some newer players staying. It's true that most of the regs are not playing, however it brought in more newer players, which is nice to see.

Personally, this update is certainly not my favorite. Most of the bugs that were discovered at the start of the map, had yet to be fixed. Example: You cannot sell things under than 1g. Sometimes it will put it on shop but will never show up, resulting in it disappearing forever. You can only sell items for under 1g if your jmod+ I believe.
In this update, I was expecting 1.8 combat, as promised. However, straight out the bat, you could tell a huge difference. You cant play 1.8 on the server or else you crash, if you play on 1.16 you can no longer block hit, hit cooldown seems like you deal more damage per second now, and netherite armour is broken. In addition, gold is even more easy to get than in the 1.8 version. Personally I dont think there should be any gold ores in the nether. Including some structures that carry 8ish gold blocks.
I was on board for newer versions, with 1.8 combat mechanics, however I did not expect the server to just jump 8 versions in one update.

 

Well there is 16 on right now.

Updating isn't what killed raid. I ran the numbers, we were growing in size this map even with the update. The thing that killed raid is the lack of follow through and the impossibility of doing anything under their staff structure, unless you are a liked smod or an admin.

Just a normal day nothing special going on, I know regulars aren't playing right now.. but we know if they were playing today it would be this + regulars.

In Spawn there is, 2 Iron players (dia sword), 3 full enchanted netherrite players, and 1 enchanted dia guy. not too bad
