    Brawl Junior Moderator Application

    Read over this thread: http://www.brawl.com/threads/14752/
If you do not meet the requirements (active, helpful, must have Discord, etc) do not apply yet; it will be an auto deny.

What is your in-game name? - Blessed
Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - Yes, It is also secure with Transaction ID and proof of purchase.

How old are you? - 20
What time zone are you in? - PST
Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - English is my main language and unfortunately I am not multilingual.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - Brawl has been a server I have been on since 2013 due to it being spam advertised on McPvP's Hunger Games server as they didn't have a chat filter. I found out about WarZ after playing party with a few friends back when I only played on McPvP. Since then I've been on and off for the last 7 years across multiple accounts and many people know me now as I've been super active with the tight nit side of WarZ and have spoken to multiple staff members throughout my time on the server. I grew to enjoy the server because its one of a kind playstyle and the aspect of comboing your guns made it a super cool experience and killing someone in game was really rewarding as looting took forever back then and nobody was super good so it slowly dragged me in from all my time spent on Hunger Games to switching on and off to WarZ. (Back to current knowledge and experience with Brawl) I'm currently friends with multiple staff members and have given many of them advice on how to correctly go forward with certain situations and have tried my best to give input when it is necessary though I am not a staff member as I've seen the community die and come back to life multiple times throughout Brawl's long run through the years whether it be things to implement or just go forward with feedback from other players as we all often talk in discord or chat about things we would like implemented or vaulted because the game has gone from a super laggy gun style to a now quite smooth experience depending on your ping and I think it's interesting to see if you go back and look at older montages on youtube of what those years where like.
What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I have been staff on multiple servers with varying player counts and gamemodes throughout my time playing Minecraft. Most notably the servers I have been staff on are McPvP and it's Hardcore Games gamemode back in September of 2013 till around May of 2014 as I ended up resigning due to my grades falling from playing too often and my parents taking away my computer privileges. While on the server at a young age I met many different people and even remember people such as Viva and someone you guys haven't heard of named CheekiiChap that both where mods at the time and helped me transition from the player side of Minecraft to the staffing side of it as the playercount varied from 850 - 2200 at peak times of breaks and holidays as there where so many different servers and lobbies for you to jump around into. The knowledge I gained during this time was about how to approach certain situations involving cheating, chat warnings, mutes and kicks involving toxic players and people that would come into the lobbies spamming or advertising other communities (Ironic enough). I feel that even though I was 13 at the time I had a lot of fun during my time on McPvP and the transition of the domain to brawl was sad but opened up the portal for players to keep playing their favorite gamemode on Brawl and meet new people.

FrostHCF was another server that I was an Admin on for around 6 months in 2017 with the owner being Amazing and his friend. This server was more of a cash grab for the owners as HCF was lacking server to player ratio at the time and creating one was quite simple with the correct plugins and connections for getting hosting and permissions set up. During this time I learned how to effectively screenshare and detect ghost clients as more people in the sword pvp community began to see that if you where good at the game you could really get into peoples heads and advance forward into known factions and make a name for yourself. While at the time it was hard to find ghost clients as they where not very known then I had done my own research with videos on youtube of how to get ghost clients and where they inject. With the knowledge from this I created a tutorial for the other staff members of where to look on peoples computers for injected hardware in either lines of code in text documents or crash data from self destruct buttons. This was my main focus other than banning cheaters, distributing mutes , being in the discord for support for people and speaking to higher ups about how to go about the playerbase and maintain a gamemode with a staff team that maintains integrity and actually cares about the server. HCF was a different experience than what I had on McPvP as I actually interacted with the people on the server more as discord was then quite big and with support channels you had to deal with a ticket system from the bots that allowed you to write what your problem is and your player name which enabled me to focus on a specific problem and attempt to fix it in a timely manner. I think that this system would genuinely benefit brawl in itself with their discord server though it's more of a tangent as players actually felt the problem they had was getting resolved and they weren't ignored throughout the day as most people can feel drowned out by constant chat flood or staff members being busy.

My most recent experience with being a staff member on a server was Deadcentral. This is not my most prided experience as it was a trainwreck from the beginning as many permbanned brawl players where in charge and there where a lot of issues with how issues where dealt with and staff members all around abused throughout the 3 month long lifeline of the server. I had been invited to the server through some friends and talked my way up to becoming a J-mod as I had given them my past experiences and not many of the people on the staff team had any knowledgeable experience on how to deal with WarZ players and not get agitated by remarks and what people would say to them as WarZ players have a special way of getting into your head if I might say. As the weeks went by my rank was quicky upped to Admin alongside the other notable admins WarSkater, Atum and Triplebeast777. Problems quickly arose with me and Triple especially as he had ties with the owner(s) (Icedmoca and Milkmaid), through his access he would give his alt accounts loot, ranks and made the experience for other players a living hell as he was even caught DDosing players with video proof on youtube. I didn't enjoy the way the server was handled and tried my best in the beginning to convince the owners that this person as a staff member was a terrible idea as he was benefiting himself as a staff member with access to information on players and things he shouldn't be doing as a staff member. The downfall of this server was 100% due to me with a twist as they ended up losing access to the console and all hell breaking loose many things on a specific day where going wrong and I immaturely, did /stop on the server as I felt the server was rotting away as people began to make IP lists and I felt it was super immature of that aspect to still be in the community in the year 2019 if at all. I could easily ramble on for days about my experience on dead central as it is hard to type out the entirety of my experience so if you guys would like more information on why things where handled the way they where as I'm not proud of it 100%, but my actions in some sense where very justifiable, please get in contact with me and I will gladly let you hear my side of this situation.
Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - I've enjoyed Brawl from the sidelines for so long and wanted to apply for the position for a long time but my immaturity and past kicks, and warns have lead me down a road that I felt it was impossible for me to even think about applying for the position as it is quite difficult to acquire a spot on the staff team. As I've grown up now I've come to realize that it's really not worth it to get hotheaded over comments or things that happen in game as it's just a game and everyone is their own person and has things going on with themselves that makes them who they are in game as we all do come here to enjoy the game and get away from the outside aspect of life as we are currently going through a pandemic and life can be hard. I feel as if my experience and knowledge of how to deal with certain situations and people overtime has grown to a huge capability as I already do give valid points to many WarZ staff members on how they should approach different things and why not attempt to be on the front line and personally be able to help the server progress and keep a solid player count. I definitely feel as if I've gotten to the point that my past is behind me and I have benefited myself by changing the way I approach the game and can be mature enough to handle specific situations and speak kindly to the players as though some of them may not enjoy me as a player, can respect me as a staff member because I genuinely have their best interest in mind as I am also in their shoes and can speak for them if they have questions, comments or concerns with the direction the server may be taking. I am well informed enough of how to moderate and will do my best to apply my skills and past experiences in a correct manner toward the server and can benefit the staff team as a whole by keeping spam, flame and cheating down to a low.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes, I have used many hacked clients in the way way back of Minecraft as I used to just randomly hop on server years ago with my friends and cheat for the fun of it. Never have I been banned on Brawl permanently for Xray, hacking or any sort of cheat as I am always recording and actively trying to better people by discouraging cheating throughout all of my time on servers I genuinely care about. Even dating back to McPvP I never had a single ban as I always thought cheating was a super low point for a player as cheating ruins the game completely and chat is just the immature side of players
Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - I have been kicked, muted and warned multiple times on all kinds of servers for toxicity, flame and threats. My head would always get the better of me and I would type of out things that were inappropriate and uncalled for due to me thinking it was either funny or a relief of my anger when dying in game or just being mad. I have a lengthy history with mutes / kicks in my past, and have genuinely learned from my mistakes as I try my best to keep it friendly and either log off or give a sign of genuine care in the chat when either a fight is over or someone speaks to me as I do enjoy talking to people and I think that I'm easily approachable. I believe I genuinely learned from my actions and since then have actually tried to better myself and haven't been issued a single warn, ban, mute or kick for some time now as I care about the server and it's players well being.
What do you consider your greatest strength? - I believe my greatest strength would have to be my intuition and my ability to listen to other players concerns. Throughout my life I've genuinely cared about what others have to say even when it isn't what I want to hear because I think everyone deserves an opinion and to have others hear what they have to say. I'm a super good listener and try my hardest to hear where the opinion and side of what someone has to say is coming from as we all come from different environments and are our own people, I believe this skill heavily applies to the job of staffing and keeps you really level headed in specific situations.
What do you consider your greatest weakness? - I believe my greatest weakness is me wanting to be funny and make people laugh at the expense of making fun of people for random things. This has just been a way for me to make people laugh and I enjoy it but realize how harmful it is as it's not only disheartening but rude to others as it's just a game and we are all just trying to enjoy ourselves and have fun. I'd like to say I've grown enough now to actually control this and realize there's a time and place for everything and it definitely has guided me in the right direction.
Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? - Mc-WarZ is the only server I play on other than the occasional Party game or two with some friends.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - 0
What is the date of the last application you submitted? - Null.
Do you have Discord? : Yes, dalton#1337

Anything else you would like to state? - I appreciate anyone who is looking at this, even if you are committed to an immediate -1. Some of my past actions I can not take back, but would like to come out with a clean slate and actually benefit the community with good advice and fair staffing as I have a lot of experience with these people and how specific things work. I'd love to be behind the scenes doing events and working with others on how to improve the server and learn things for myself as the server is well made and all of us enjoy it. I think that I'm a good candidate simply because I've played the game for countless hours and it would be nice to have people with game knowledge working on the little things.

    Regarding activity, definitely +1
I vouched for you on DeadCentral where you did a great job until everything got weird.

The thing I'm unsure about is your maturity, you always seem toxic in-game even though i've noticed that you have changed a little...
I am also unsure how much you being in the staff team as you are already talking and are friends with almost all current staff where you can forward your ideas. But I might be wrong.

On the second screenshot, if you become staff you'll need to do the opposite of what you did there which is to mute people for saying "autistic idiot"...

I don't really know but I know for damn sure that people can change so I'll give you +0 for now! I will need to have a think about that +1!

From what I can remember, that was a while ago. Dalton has yet to act out in game from what I seen, and actually has been helping me a lot with ingame ideas to add to the server.

As far as your act, I know your past isn't the best but now I have genuinely seen an improvement on the way you act, and you clearly want to help us better the game. I believe we have a trial for a reason, so you have my +1!

    Hey Warrey!
Thank you for the feedback no matter the situation, I appreciate it because you care about the server as well and have tried to show your best interest towards it. I'd like to apologize for those messages I had sent from 6 months ago as they had come from a place of anger before I had evidently quit the game for the time being, they had no place in that chat and no reason to be directed at you as they where quite spiteful. I do ask for your forgiveness as I've been trying my best to not be toxic and improve on myself as person while in game and outside of it as I've noticed the toxicity get's you nowhere and brings people down that of course do not deserve it.

To attack the other topic of staff beings friends and how to forward those ideas, I feel that sometimes I can't fully explain what things need to be changed and don't have complete access to those people at all times of course so I feel if I was actually involved in the staff team things that where mentioned could get more traction going as I would then actually be apart of the people who make the deciding changes for the gamemode. I hope this made sense and I thank you for commenting!

I will keep doing my best to improve on myself in all aspects, for now, I appreciate your +1 and hope to keep your opinion true.

Not being in the staff team makes you miss out on the important details that you wouldn't see otherwise. Being friends with staff does not mean you ARE part of the staff team.

Activity and all the rest looks nice, but the main issue many may have with your application is your past immaturity and their view on you as a person. Many players see you and think negatively. However, over the past months you have changed that, and since the server has gained players again over the past month you have recreated your image into something positive. I relate this to my first Moderator application, where I asked for forgiveness for my past. Although this may not have been easy, it had a positive effect on me and WarZ as a whole, as I have been able to better the server. I feel that your past should be forgiven, as you have clearly made an effort to better yourself.

Activity combined with game and community knowledge, as well as being a close friend to you for many years and knowing your character allows me to give you a +1 with relative ease. Good luck!

Alright you have clearly changed. I do believe in second chances. I know what you can do as you did well on DeadCentral. I deadass want to give you a chance. You have my full support.

    +1,

Having mixed feelings about this one. Going to leave it at a maybe until I see improvement in your behavior regarding the chat.
