    Brawl Junior Moderator Application

    Read over this thread: http://www.brawl.com/threads/14752/
If you do not meet the requirements (active, helpful, must have Discord, etc) do not apply yet; it will be an auto deny.

What is your in-game name? - My in game name is SoullessAngel_ I have played under previous names in years past, but not recently enough to affect my response to any questions I might be asked.
Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - It is.

How old are you? - I am 19 years old.
What time zone are you in? - Alaska Standard Time (GMT -9)
Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - I am not multilingual.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - This is going to be a long segment. I have played Brawl since roughly 2013, making this my eighth year as a member of this community. I was originally a War and Minestrike player, right up until the point that Wild West was released. I dove straight into it and enjoyed the gamemode enough to make more than a few long-term online friends that still remember my name to this day. Wild West, in a way, is a gamemode that I am still tied to and that I am still, to this day, a member of the community of, regardless of if the gamemode exists anymore. I hope that that is a testament to my commitment as a member of the Brawl community as a whole.

With Raid specifically, I do have some experience. I learned the game playing with AnonymousGalaxy with the team Hype, and since then I have started on my own in the current map. I have established myself as a solo player, as I don't have a team, and I may continue to play solo. In the end, I understand the gamemode, its intentions, and the different ways it can be played, and the different milestones that players across the board hope to reach one day.
What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I was a stand-in administrator (just had OP perms) on a prison server in 2011, and I was a junior moderator then a moderator right here on Brawl as part of the Wild West staff team. I also did branch out to different gamemodes, but mostly in a moderator capacity. More recently than that, I was a project manager for a server known as Deadwood. It was also the reason for my previous demotion as a moderator here on Brawl, so I would not like to delve into the subject too deeply.
Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - This is where I put that I'm on during the times that other staff aren't and that there's hackers and rude people in chat running unchecked, right? Well, not exactly. Many people forget that being a staff member is not all about enforcing chat violations, catching hackers, and doing X-Ray checks. It's about also being a representative of your community and an ambassador for change. You can't just make changes that the community didn't want or ask for. That's how gamemodes die. Engaging with your community and still being apart of it as a player, rather than a customer service representative trying to bridge the gap between client and customer, has always been better and worked better for me than anything else.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have, in the past, experimented in a singleplayer game with Wurst, Wolfram, and Huzuni to learn more about hacked clients and indentifying their users.
Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - At a point, I was permanently banned from the Brawl forums. This lasted for a month. On my current punishment history, I only have an automatic ban from two years ago on Wild West. There is no listed specific hack. In the past, I was temporarily banned for a DDoS threat on an alternate account, and I did have a small pile of punishments. I don't remember them exactly, but they were all flame-related.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - I am somebody who will now keep calm under pressure, and it is very hard to create a situation where I can be overwhelmed. I am an honest person, and I don't beat around the bush. I get to the point with what I say, but at the end of the day I don't stop working on a situation until I get a positive outcome.
What do you consider your greatest weakness? - My greatest weakness could be in conjunction with the fact that I am an incredibly honest person. I can sometimes come off as too blunt, or like I am putting someone down when I am only trying to offer advice and constructive criticism. I also am sometimes a compassionate person when I shouldn't be, which can affect judgement or the ability to be 100% impartial sometimes.
Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? - I am currently most active on Raid.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - I have made six applications previously, only one was successful.
What is the date of the last application you submitted? - March 12th, 2018
Do you have Discord? - I do have discord, and am available via DM most hours of the day. My tag is SoullessAngel_#2821

Anything else you would like to state? - This may be something that most people feel I am not ready for, and I understand where those feelings would be coming from. Nobody can fully represent a living, breathing human being and speak for their wants and needs, let alone a whole virtual community. At the end of the day, it is something that takes work and a commitment to those people to support them and make them feel like they are heard and that their enjoyment of the network is valued.

Any and all criticism is welcome below, or I am available for messages on Discord or the forums. Thank you.

You are invested in the game and truly care about Brawl. Dedication means a lot as you know what to work with in order to increase the player-base. I can not see why you would not be beginning trial today.

    Easy +1, Good luck!
