Brawl Junior Moderator Application​

What is your in-game name? - Trenny

Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? - Yes.

How old are you? - Nineteen, turning twenty March 7th.

What time zone are you in? - Central (CST).

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - No.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - I began playing capture the flag in early 2012 back when flags were stolen by grabbing them from chests. One of my grade school friends showed me the game around February that year and convinced me to get a Minecraft account. Since then I've been playing capture the flag on and off, taking breaks when I need to. Throughout the years I've been on many different teams (around 12 or so), so I have plenty of experience with how the game works and have been very involved in the team scene and the community. When capture the flag moved to brawl I was one of the more active players and then took a long break from around midway through 2017 up until November of 2019. Currently, I'm a PPM host and PUG mod for capture the flag, and I try my best to help this side of the community grow and give my input when it's needed. I've been very active in the past year especially since Covid-19 hit. I also have plenty of experience with the other game modes on Brawl.com and can ensure you that if I become staff, I will continue to be active.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I've had experience moderating a factions server many years ago, and also have experience with moderating small private servers ran by friends in the past.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - I've been a part of this community for a very long time and I'd like to play a bigger part in it's growth and development. One of the ways that I think I could help in doing this is by getting newer players involved with the community and competitive scene. Getting newer players into PPMs and the community has been something that I've been able to do well in the past. Becoming a moderator would make this job easier since my feedback will be heard more. Since my last application, I have matured and grown leadership skills and have sent multiple new suggestions for the game itself. This has also shown throughout PPMs, matches, and the community itself. As a moderator, I plan on pushing for new ideas to be implemented that could help improve the game balance and quality of life for players. I want to ensure that all players have an equal playing field, and being moderator would allow me to do this. I would be able to assist other staff members in making sure that cheaters are appropriately punished.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes.

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - When the Kohi and Badlion merge was announced I did cheat on Badlion because I knew the server was going to be shut down. In hindsight I deeply regret my decision that I made. I have also been banned on Brawl back in 2017 and have had inappropriate usernames in the past. Since then I have learned from my actions and it's been an extended period of time since the punishment.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - I consider one of my greatest strengths to be my ability to communicate with others. I'm very outgoing and friendly. I would also consider myself to be a very straight forward person and I feel like some of these strengths are what the current staff team could use. I'm not afraid to voice my opinions and give feedback when necessary. I also have a passion for helping others when need be and getting newer players involved within the community and team scene.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - One of my greatest weaknesses is being a perfectionist. I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself to do the best at everything I can. While this can be recognized as a strength for some, often times it leads to stress. Getting upset at myself is often times what I struggle with when things don't turn out as planned. One thing that I am striving to work on is looking for the positives in any situation.

Anything else you would like to state? - Since the last application I submitted I would consider myself more mature. This has been demonstrated through my recent community involvement and leadership positions such as PPM host. When communicating with other players, I strive to keep a positive environment without toxicity and make the game more enjoyable for everyone. Thank you SoCool for the feedback and the +1! One thing I plan on doing as mod is contributing a lot to hosting events for the community. I’m happy you touched up on this since it’s something I missed in my application. My forums activity does lack a bit but I can fix that. Again, thank you for the feedback.
