What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - I first joined the CTF community in 2018 where I joined the team scene of the server and experienced competitive CTF for the first time. I enjoyed my first interaction with the community, but I wasn't super active; I'd play a PPM or two a month and that'd be it, and that's basically my brawl experience up until around June of 2020 when I joined Annihilation's CTF team, which inspired me to get more involved in the server. I then began actively playing at least 5 days a week. In September of 2020, I joined The Baguettes where I met some more great people and had an enjoyable time improving as a player and getting more familiar with the community. In February The Baguettes disbanded and I joined back Annihilation. I also became a PPM host where I have actively been hosting for the community, as well as being a PUG Mod in the newer ELO based more competitive side of PPMS. I also actively play casual ctf, for around 45 minutes a day.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I was a manager of a community based Mineplex competitive mode known as the BCL in which I organised a staff team moderating a discord server and Refereeing matches.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? - I would like to become a moderator on brawl because I feel like I could input a lot of great ideas for several things such as balancing/creating new classes in the future, taking community suggestions and giving feedback and advice on community made maps and suggestions, and forward ideas for further discussion in the staff team. I'm very involved in the community and I would like to be able to give back to the active players that make brawl ctf a great server. I am extremely mature and active with around 2-3 hours played a day between casual ctf and PPM's, and strive to make more of an impact on the server. Since multiple moderators have recently resigned, I believe I will be able to fill in a gap in the staff team in terms of being online for general support and able to actively set up match server for PPMs and PUGs. I really enjoy playing CTF and am extremely enthusiastic about the game, and any difference I can make I strive to achieve.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes. I possessed multiple ghost clients when I was a manager in the BCL in which I found screenshare detection methods for them. I have never used one to give myself an advantage, nor been banned for cheats.
Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - No.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - I'm very interactive with people. I actively respond on discord and in game, and never leave anyone without a response. I am very informative and great at talking to people and giving advice on their needs. This is a key quality for anyone in a position of staff as connecting with the community is the best way of finding out what people think of the game and find out how they think it could be improved without players getting frustrated and angry at the game, and makes people know that their ideas are heard out and considered by the staff team.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - I'm extremely honest and sometimes come across as blunt in what I say because of that. I try to be cautious of what I say and when. Although in most cases this is a good quality, it is sometimes easy to misunderstand my intentions as harsh when I am trying to help out. I am aware of this issue and have been thinking carefully of how I feedback to people in constructive ways.

Hi SoCool, I have recently suggested about a balance for engineer that would consist of adding an extra item into the hotbar and would force you to choose between healing + giving to steak to either yourself or your team. This would make the class harder to play and make quick decision making much more important with having to make a choice of either surviving yourself or supporting your teammates, and would also force a more coordinated push rather than the class being able to roam around by itself getting insane amounts of value from healing itself and teammates at the same time.

I also recently took part in the mage rework discussion with Miskey where we evaluated the class and worked on creating potential new abilities to make mage more viable.

An idea I had for a Dwarf rework is to make the class less tanky and more mobile, introducing a sort of ground pound ability and potentially have it as a high damage low health pool class in a defensive bulk style. This could be a good counter for the tanky comps being used in CTF currently if given the correct crowd control features, and a ground pound which deals a slight amount of knockback could be a great way to achieve this. This amount of crowd control would be balanced by the factor of when used effectively it would make a huge impact on splitting teams in order to 2v1 someone etc, but is easily punishable if you were to use it and accidentally boost an enemy with the flag.

I have been on the build server, given feedback and made some minor changes to maps with Miskey and Ducksfan101 to improve overall gameplay on certain maps regarding stalemates or just general fixes, for example on Rundown we changed the normal stalemate spot and made the flag room more easily accessible, on Castle Caverns VI I noticed that elves were watering the flag through walls so we made the walls surrounding a block thicker so this was no longer an issue.
