Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - I speak both Dutch and English fluently, I know a fair bit of German and a slight bit of French. I plan on learning Spanish some time soon but haven’t started yet, so I’m not further than your usual ‘’hola’’ and ‘’gracias’’.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? - I’d like to think I have great knowledge of how Brawl works, not just as a non-staff but of course as a staff member too. I have great knowledge of how the gamemodes work but also how the staff commands work, I have explained my history on Brawl here a few times before so I won’t be doing that this time hence why this is just a quick copy paste from here:



My experience:

The first ever time I joined was on 2013-10-05, about 8 years ago. And I remember the first game I played was MC-WAR. at that time Minecraft was exploding at school and was very popular. People would literally run to the school computers to play Minecraft. And later on it was even used as a reward to play Minecraft when you had finished your tasks. It was around 2012/2013 at that time and we would all start playing Minecraft and start playing Skyblock on a server I forgot the IP off. We we're really competitive and would all try our best to have the best island of all our friends. As it was kinda slowing down because of the server reset and nobody really feeling like starting all the way from the bottom again. We would play it less than before and it wasn't as competitive anymore, it was cool if you were the best but if you weren't you wouldn't care as much.


At that time I started looking for different servers and found brawl. it had the gamemode MC-War on there which was all about cod in Minecraft. My parents were against me playing any shooter games like the real Cod or Battlefield. So this was perfect for me. I was experienced with Minecraft and had my decent knowledge about cod too after playing cod at other friends' places and watching videos. So I started getting more into MC-War and completely left the skyblock server behind me. I would not tell my friends about MC-War yet because I wanted to be the best so I first made sure I was rather decent at the game before telling anyone. As I got better I started playing it in school and people started asking what I was playing. After telling them a few would try but never really liked it. But I loved it. and thus I have always played war till now. In the meantime getting to know Kit Brawl a bit better and exploring some other gamemodes.

Nowadays I’m way more ahead of course I play build mainly and know a ton of the gamemodes Brawl has to offer as well as having a lot of knowledge of the moderating commands.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - Of course I have great experience in Brawl when it comes to moderating. Being a staff member but as well a event manager I have learned an incredible amount about Brawl, which I still haven’t forgotten. I learned a lot about how to deal with people, whether they were annoying, cheating, etc. But as well as hosting events, building maps and configuring them for gamemodes.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? -
I miss moderating on Brawl, I’ve tried for a long time to quit but I keep staying intrigued to come back, there has always been something about moderating/hosting events, etc. That was very intriguing to me. Which is why I would really love to get back at it, and of course to help Brawl out again with the current reconstruction again the best I can, whether that be contributing to ideas or contributing my own, or simple stuff like building a quick map, or writing a quick thread.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes, and although this is usually seen as a negative, I personally believe it can be positive as well. Back in the day, I used to hack a lot on servers like Hypixel, even though I regret ruining other players’ experience it did give me a lot of knowledge about hacked clients, I believe I have also proven as a former staff member that I’ve got great knowledge when it comes to hacked clients.

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? - I’ve been banned on multiple popular servers back in the day for the reasons stated above. I’ve also been permanently banned on Brawl before for using alternate accounts and using hacks such as speed and step mostly to mess with other players. This was when I was in a weird mood and back then I was kinda constipating whether I should leave Brawl or not and hence I decided back then to cheat, which I, of course, regret. As stated above I only used cheats like Step and Speed, these were generally to have a laugh with some players and I never really started using bhop and kill aura and killing everyone, I never intended to ruin people’s experience back then, I think this is about 4 years ago though, this was well before I first got staff I never got banned on this main account of mine.

What do you consider your greatest strength? -
Determination: I’m very determined to get things done and can be very focused on those things, especially when it’s something I do for other people whether it be directly or something indirect, say something like an event which isn’t even announced yet.

Patience regards players: I’m very patient and this has been proven useful a lot of times people purposefully trying to annoy never succeed as far as I can remember, I can easily remain calm and punish people accordingly I don’t mind being called any names or have any allegations thrown at me, that doesn’t mean that if these allegations seriously affect other people’s perceptions and opinions of mine I will speak up for myself in a professional manner, in other words it’s not to confuse that I would let everyone just say everything they want about me if it affects me or others rather significantly.

Teamwork: I really like to work in a team that works great together, if we want Brawl to move ahead and become bigger again we have to work as a team as we cannot simply do it individually, I think I’m great in hearing out other people's ideas and participating in discussions to then get the best result together.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -
Due to my ADD I can be forgetful and sometimes focus on stuff a bit too much, thus wanting to move ahead faster than we should/can, this can lead to small but also big errors, I have been trying to learn to be a bit more patient when it comes to releasing exciting stuff as a new event and new game mode aspects, not in terms of leaking stuff, but rather as in posting stuff too soon and finding out all sorts of problems we should’ve found before hand. Personally I can’t remember this going wrong in the past with Brawl as I really want to make sure I don’t mess things up anymore.

Regarding my tendency to forget things, it never really happens when it is regarding something someone else wants but I mostly forget things that are regarding me. So I could forget small details and to do things, but again this I have been working on a lot by writing stuff down, which I never really did before, (Cause I only learned that I had ADD when I was 18).
Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? - Most certainly Build. I love building maps, I like to play CTF occasionally and also play Party every now and then, I’d say I’m certainly more active on Build though.

Thank you first of all for the kind words and the +1.

Regards your question, I don't picture current staff negatively, and when I made the thread it wasn't really my intention either but rather point out the things going wrong. Anyhow the thread is over 1 year old and was mainly regards to the staff at that current time, that being said I don't know the current situation but I hear from quite some staff that now as well there's a lot of people that are unactive within the staff team, I can't really check this of course but it is true that I do only see certain names come by even though I believe I'm very active across all gamemodes. The thread of my resignation also slightly describes what and how it should be improved on, long story short, cause I don't think typing a whole essay here is gonna be good, there needs to be more structure and checks on things such as activity, If you want to move forwards as a staff team everyone needs to work hard and put their efforts in their own way. People need to be confronted about lack of activity but also people that are very active and contribute should be thanked more, for example via a monthly message expressing the greatefulness from higher ups that you had been so helpful that month, etc.

What I think lacks from this team, at least what did lack from this team back in the day is the connection between higher ups and "lower" staff, Higher ups need to motivate lower staff speak on the same level with them and help them out and show that they really want to help out, Idk how this situation is right now but back in the day especially in my first run of being staff this was just straight out horrible. If staff aren't active, higher ups have to confront them and ask them why, how they could help but also very important, should think about how they could motivate that particular person. That being said I don't believe as a staff member you should be active with 3 hours a day 24/7, that's impossible, but if school is such in the way or other things, consider that it you just may not have the time for staff, and perhaps you can request some sort of a "hold", that way whenever you're done with what was taking so much time away it would be easier to get back to being staff for example.
