What does Carrot on a stick do

    A lot of my friend and my have been wonder what does a carrot on a stick do. I have never found a pig but does it have some other use.

    A carrot on a stick is supposed to lure pigs towards you. With a carrot on a stick, you can freely maneuver a pig when riding on it, and even boost your pig at top speed when right clicked with the carrot on a stick (note, this greatly lowers the durability on it). Btw, this should be moved to off-topic.

    The carrot on a stick was an item used in the old WarZ map (I guess you could call it 1.0), that used to spawn pigs as a method of transportation. Since horses, as well as a new map, were implemented since then (2.0), pigs were removed, making the carrot on a stick useless. The only way to obtain one now is by spawning with one as MVP, and the chances of getting one are quite slim, but because it has no use, the item has no value at all. This thread is now locked.
