I need tips.to.convince parents

    Last month, I downloaded Black Light Retribution. It took 3 1/2 days to download. Then it took 6 hours to update. Im in a skype call with 3 other people playing black Light Retribution. 30 minutes into gameplay, my dad tell me I have to talk to him about the game. At this point, im going 35-2. He had been watching me play it. I didnt have the gore turned off. I knew this is not good. I stop playing and I play mc war instead. When im done, he tells me that I have to delete Black Light Retribution. I end up having a family discussion about the game. They say that I can not play it because the shooting. The discussion lasted for 45 minutes and I had to officialy delete it. To make matters worse, they hate how minecraft has shooting in it. They dont like me playing mc war either. The thing is I UNDERSTAND fake from reality. Im mature yet I cannot play games like cod. My parents hate anything that involves shooting or killing. I just got the feeling that one day I wont be able to play mc war. I hope this does noy happen because it took me 6 months to get to level 43 and a ldr of 1.25. The fact that the update could be comming anytime would suck because I ve been waiting for it. I need some tips on how to convince them. This makes the whole problem the worst: My parents hate that minecraft has killing in it. Help!!!

    Well you could always bribe them or give them statistics on how violent games don't make you violent or what I would do is show them you really care about the game and how it boosts your self confidence if it doesn't already that's what I would do.

    Make them understand this, and you should be good, I imagine.
    Then again, I have never met, nor plan on meeting your parents, so it's hard for me to give good advice on the matter.

    Meh, turn off the texture pack, and say you play on a snowball fight server. You're good.

    This is indeed great advice, to add to that, perhaps there is a certain texture pack out there that can even take away some other violent parts of Minecraft.

    If not, I'll make a texture pack with invisible snowballs/guns. You can say it is a run-around-randomly server.

    I have a similar problem, however I can get my parents to let me play shooting games. They don't like it though.

    It's also kind of weird if they won't let you play with snow.

    My parents are ok with mc-war besides I don't play it that often but you should tell them that you know that this fake

    Well, that's some strict parents... I actually grew up watching my father play Half Life since I was 6. That's kinda where I got my love for videogames from. However, I'm not allowed to play games like GTA, unfortunately.

    What you can do is tell them how mcwar itself doesn't promote violence and also has a great community...
    (and great mods that keep stuff under control :V)

    Well, it is good you have parents that watch out for you. Just tell them, that our community is great, and it isn't fun for the violence, it is fun for the send of achievement. Tell them that you won't learn nothing and act violent due to these games. Also play with default pack.

    I understand why they are doing this but I should reall make my own gaming decisions with knowing what I have to give back.

    They should release an Mc-war texture pack featuring water guns firing blobs of water. There's already a Nerf gun texture pack so you could use that as well.

    Show them somthing you built in minecraft so they will think minecraft is good and that's all they need to know.
