    My idea is a simple one, and it is basically that when you type /chat into chat, you are removed from the gamemode, and either sent back to the lobby or somewhere else, but you can still talk to the people in-game. I would find this very useful as I was trying to talk to Hudstorm earlier today on MC-Party, but even if I wasn't playing, every time a game ended and I was transported to another game, I lost what I was typing on, and had to start all over again which I found rather annoying. Also, when I died, I lost what I was typing on. So, I hope this idea would be beneficial should it be implemented.

    Edit- Another thing; you will still be able to see what gamemode it is via chat, so if you see a gamemode you want to play you can just type /chat again and you will go back there.

    As oppose from having a separate command for this, perhaps just merge Lobby and in-game chat.

    Or maybe stop the chat from being reset when someone wins/when a new round starts. Honestly, that shouldn't even be there.

    Definitely. This is an efficient way to solve the issue. Not sure if it's possible though, not sure how you are transported between gamemodes (I know almost anything is possible with coding, so this probably is).

    Generally, when you are teleported, you're still able to continue typing what you were typing, without it automatically closing.
    I don't know why it closes your chat when someone wins, but it is annoying, and should probably be changed...

    This is a great idea. It is very hard to type long messages in MinecraftParty and a way for you to still be in game, but not be playing or have you chat being interrupted would be amazing.

    Agreed, the games are too fast paced... wouldn't be issue if the chatbox saved your text after a new game started or if minecraft ever thought of making that happen. -_-
