    Imagine this scenario. You are trapped in the ender chest room with a friend by two full diamond players with Barrets. Your friend gets a barret from his ender chest and jumps out, tries to kill them but dies. You have virtually nothing and want to get your friend's stuff to continue the fight, but if you go out to get it, you'll die. This is the ideal situation for my item idea, the Magnet. The Magnet has a range of 20 blocks (can be changed) and is used for picking up items that are on the ground. You do not need to do anything except have it in your hand.

    It is found in Zones 4, 5 and 6. It is approximately as common as finding a piece of diamond armour. I'm sorry, I cannot give the exact odds, because I can only estimate, and it might be far off. It is found one at a time.

    Well, I can imagine this causing quite a bit of rage / flame on the servers with people 'stealing' each others loot.
    I also presume it could be difficult to prevent this picking up items from the other side of a wall, for example.

    You make a good point. But if two players really are teamed, then in all fairness, the one who got the kill should get the loot, regardless who picks it up. I know if my teammate killed someone, and I picked up the loot, I'd give it back, whether I got it via a magnet or by myself.

    I don't like the idea of someone that's 20 blocks away being able to loot scoop another player's hard earned loot.

    Well this idea has its pros and cons. But a way the magnet could be improved is if the items move at a slow enough pace toward you where the player could take back the item fast enough, but where the magnet can pick up the item fast enough too.

    What if u only can pick up items from people on your friendlist?

    This could work but make's the item a little more limited. It seems like an idea that would need some work.

    As an avid Mc-WarZ player, I hate seeing all of my loot that I took time to get just go away. I think that this definitely could have potential, although maybe make it so that it's a tiny bit more rare, and so that it only picks up the loot of the people you're friended with.

    Perhaps the magnet would be a hopper, and you could only get 5 items from the hopper and it will disappear. A cooldown on placing magnets could also be implemented.

    Maybe also like only 5 blocks this would be useful when someone camps echest but you kill them in the doorway but they still have a friend in there.

    Sounds interesting, but needs some tweaking in order to be balanced, 20 blocks is a lot. Maybe like less than 12? That could work fairly well in my opinion.

    try think a guy join in at enderchest in nether and 2 full d is fighthing one off them die and the guy who logged in take a magnet picking up all the d and log out this would create RAGE

    20 blocks is a bit excessive, considering you can only pick up items around 1-2 blocks away from you. Maybe 5 blocks would be more efficient? I like the over all concept, but if someone stole my loot from 20 blocks away, I would not be happy >:L

    You could just get players camping around a corner/the other side of a wall, getting easy loot if players are fighting & dying nearby..

    I love this idea. Everyone is acting like a player will steal loot every time you kill someone. First off, if it's a friend, they can just pick up the loot manually. Adding magnet wouldn't change if they loot scooped or not. Second, this is as rare as diamond armor and (I would assume) a 1 time use. It isn't that op.

    This is unique.
    But you can just tp your friend with a magnet and just scoop up loot again.

    This could be very good, and very bad both ways.

    I think this would be very hard to code. But a great idea, I would love to see it in the game

    But if the guy who killed your friend had a magnet, he could just as easily collect his barrett.
