PVP Survival Mod Application

My last application was denied, cause at this point I took PVP Survival a lot too serious and due to this raged a lot. I really hope I improved this and you give me a second chance of being a mod for this awesome server.


Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak?
I'm very active on Mc-War and PVP Survival, I play about 4 hours on McBrawl Servers every day. I think I’m one of the most active members on PVP and I'm also watching my skype all the time. In the last months I have also been active on the Teamspeak Server of McBrawl with helping players and answering questions.

Which server are you applying for?
I'm applying for the Server PVP Survival or PVP McBrawl. It's has been up for 2 months now, and I seriously love it. It has a lot of nice plugins, which make it fun to play.

How old are you?
I'm 16 years old, my birthday is the 13. December 1997.

What time zone are you in?
My time zone is Middle European Zone, GMT +1

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft?
I'm playing Minecraft for nearly 2 years now. A friend showed me the game in the spring of 2012, first I only played it in singleplayer, than I bought my own account and discovered Mc-War through a Hunger Games Server. That brought me to the McBrawl Forums, and I'm active there since spring 2013. From Mc-War I discovered Mc-WarZ, Minestrike, Team HG and Minecraft Party later. I played on all of those server, a lot on Mc-WarZ and Minestrike, and a bit on Team HG and Minecraft Party.
When PVP Survival was released I noticed it in a few hours, joined it and than played it the whole day. I already played on a server that was pretty similar too PVP Survival earlier, but at this point I didn't had skype or teamspeak, so it got boring fast. Now I have much more fun with all the other community and staff members.
I think I have all the basic knowledge of Minecraft and I also have some specific knowledge about redstone and combat.

What is your experience with moderating servers?
Before I became really active on Mc-War I were a Head-Admin on a private Nitrado Server, but I can't get proof because the server shutdown.
I applied for Mc-War Moderator in June 2013 and got accepted in July. Since then I moderated the servers as good as possible and tried to make the servers free of Hackers, Spammers and Glitchers.
I think I did a good job as Mc-War Mod and now I also want to help on PVP Survival.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status?
I will hold the PVP Survival Servers free of Hackers, Advertisers and Spammers. I especially see a problem with racism and insulting players. If you die on PVP Survival, you loose all your stuff, so many players rage and call hacks. From my experience I know that 90% of those "Hackers" are just skilled at PVP or lag a bit. So I will tell the players that they should report hackers in forums if they have proof and please stop spamming the chat. I will also warn players who insult or use racism language and kick/ban them if necessary. If I see someone abusing glitches or hacking, I will try to get proof and report him.

How active do you consider yourself in-game?
I play about 3 hours on school days and 5 hours on weekends and holidays. I try to get online as much as possible, especially because I have lots of fun on the McBrawl Servers, but sometimes I'm very busy with school so my parents prohibit playing on computer. Like chickenputty said: First school, than gaming.
How active do you consider yourself on TS3?
My Teamspeak 3 activity hasn’t been very good until December 2013, but I'm working on it and in last time I have been more active because we use TS3 for Survival PVP a lot. I’m now online every day.
How active do you consider yourself on the forums?
I have over 1000 messages on the forums, most of them in the Mc-War section.
But since you added a PVP Survival Section, I'm also active there, reporting bugs, commenting teams and helping players. I’m on the most lists for the notable members and I’m know the community on the forums very good.

What do you consider your greatest strength?
I'm very communicative and I have an eye on the chat all the time, to answer questions, stop ragers and help players.
What do you consider your greatest weakness?
Sometimes I can rage very hardly on PVP Survival, but that only happens if someone is using hacks on me. Than I always try to calm down and figure out if he really hacks. That works most the time. And I would never use any mod commands while I’m raging.


How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time?
I would give him a warning with /msg or in open chat and tell him that he may get kicked if he continues.
How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time?
I would warn the person again, and tell her that he will be kicked if he don't stop. If it’s a more hard transgression I would already kick the person.
How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time?
I would kick the person or ban her for 1 hour, if I already kicked before.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums?
I apologize and change the wrong information in my post. I always try to say the truth in my posts and if I’m not sure about something I always start with something like “I think…”.
What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums?
I would give a warning as PM or in comments. If he insulted someone, I would ask him to delete/change the post.
When would you lock a thread?
I would lock a thread when
- it is a gravedig (Some threads like Informations or Ressource Packs can't be gravedigged)
- it is a flame war
- there is already a similar thread somewhere else
- the person who started it requests a lock and there is no reason for keeping it open
- it was a problem thread and the problem was solved.
If I'm not sure if I should lock a thread I ask an SMod/Admin.

Anything else we should know about you?
I really love the PVP Survival Server as already stated above, but at the moment the chat is often full of spam, rage and insult which makes players think bad about the server.
I will try to hold the chat free of that stuff.
I also think that not many europeans are Moderator on PVP Survival, so there is often no moderator online when me and other europeans play. That leads to a lot of uncontrolled insult in chat. I hope I can change this when I get the position.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with?
First I would make screenshot in case he hacked to get out of map.
Than I would tell the players to come back into map or do /spawn if that is not possible.
If he doesn't reacts in the next 30 seconds I would kick him and than look if there is a legit way to get out of map.
If there is one, I would report it in Bugs section and in Staff Chat.
If there is no legit way to get out, I would report the player as hacker.

Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work?
I know about all the commands for teams, shop, warps and tracking PVP Survival.
I can explain them to other players and use them. I already made a Tips and Tricks Video for PVP Survival where I explained everything basic about the server and I always read the change logs and other guides on forums, so my knowledge is up to date.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away?
Yes, I realize this. If I abuse my power or if I'm disrespectful I deserve to get demoted.

Actually I'm quite active on Teamspeak, but you propably don't see it, cause we are online on different times.
