    My idea is to add binoculars just like in dayz. The binoculars will spawn in tier 3-4 zones. The chance of them spawning should be at 40%. The binoculars will have a have a zoom in range farther than an aimed gun. They will zoom in like optifine does. The item will be a nether brick. Maybe this can be added with the new map update?

    Oooo I like this idea.
    Similar to zooming with a weapon but as this item would be made souly for zoomed site, I am presuming the zoom would have to be further than that of a sniper, otherwise this would be pretty pointless.

    It will zoom much farther than a sniper.

    The maximum distance you can see other players at is so tiny that it wouldn't make a difference.
    A 40% chance of it spawning is crazy. Imagine if every 2 items you found out of 5 was a pair of binoculars!

    I agree with this, for if you do not have optifine or simply don't want to get it, you can zoom in further than the weapons to be a scout for your team! Great idea!
