Idea Minecart race!

    Basically, this could be a classic remake of Mario Cart. Each player would spawn in a minecart (I am 100% sure that there's a plugin for that), and their objective would be to race for the finish line. The twist is the fact, that the track would be a lot different, and on the way, there could be these small spawners that would spawn 3 different items: A blaze rod, a snowball and a bone. Each one of them would represent a certain thing that would happen. Blaze rod would add a small speed effect for 3 seconds, snowball could be used to hit one player and slow him/her down, and a bone would be used in order to create a smoke shield, which would make a smoke trail or something behind or on a side of you, making it challenging for others to see you. In this gamemode, only one of each item would spawn, so it is vital to get on of these. Controls would be with classic minecraft button-combination, and if it is necesarry, I can work up for a track. I only need to know if it is possible to ride minecarts up the slabs.

    Heard Mario Cart & I was sold. Anyways, I think this is a great idea, and I think it could be easily implemented in my opinion.

    I am pretty sure Horse Race is intended to be the MinecraftParty version of Mario Kart.
    We will be adding new maps soon.

    I like it, and yes, plugins can do very much, even that.
    Plugins can NOT add new blocks or items though it CAN modify what they do.

    This exactly. Horse race is Mario Kart. Adding Cart Racing would just be another version. We want to keep the gamemodes different and fresh, not similar. Good idea, I like the thought put into it, but it's not what we need right now.

    This and the fact that this is basically Horse Race except w/ minecarts. The only thing I guess you could say is different are the 3 different item choices.

    Regardless, I feel as if 2 similar racing type gamemodes would not be released at the same time.

    Our version of this is the Horse Race, but I mean it could be a suggestion for the future if we want more race related game modes. As greepeas says, we will be adding more content to MCParty soon.

    This has already been added to MinePlex(?), so I doubt it would be very popular if added as a minigame here.

    Yeah, it is a game on mineplex. But I think that you should be able to use powerups but not from a spawner. More like if you run into a chest it gives you a random item, but it doesn't slow you down or stop you.

    Overall, good idea. It might be hard to make it look really nice though.
