This is pretty simple, people who are new to the forums will not be able to post a staff app, the person will have to have been on the forums for a month or two before they have the ability to apply.

The title should be changed, it makes it seem like new members shouldn't be able to post at all.

Well, if you think about it, well over half of our staff apps come from new members that usually join the day they post their staff application. I say this could be put in, with a couple other ideas and specifications.
    • In the slide where it says "Welcome RLHchampion..." I think that more information should be added there to inform the player about the requirements needed.
    • When a new member tries to post a staff application, (by clicking "Create Thread") there should be an error sign that pops up and tells them "You are not allowed to post a staff application. You will be able to be granted the permission to post one once you have completed approximately 300 posts and when you fill more requirements."
Those are my suggestions to this idea, and there should be some tweaking done to this idea like the script that pops up is worded differently, etc.

This has been suggested before, and we made changes to the way that staff apps work. However, the new people being able to post mod apps is annoying but if they want to apply then they can, even if they stand no chance. I have made a thread about thinking before applying, if they choose to ignore this then that is their problem.

Idk why people think its so hard to move a thread into the denied section.

If it's annoying, don't read them.

I don't think any of the new members that apply for staff read that :S

I have seen many people reading it and then not applying, although there are still people that try their luck. In the end they will be denied and moving a thread is not hard at all.

True but this would mean that you wouldn't see any new people applying for staff at all which would be nice, plus most of the people that apply for mod don't really do anything else forum related, it might just be because they joined to post a staff app or it might be that they left because they didn't get accepted, this could possibly reduce the number of new members leaving the forums.

Us staff discussed this in the staff meeting and we decided against it for the following reasons:
-It does not take long to move a thread to the denied section.
-New members join the forums to post staff apps 90% of the time, making it so that they could not would mean that they leave anyways.
-If people were not allowed to post until a certain amount of posts then we would have more spamming members like TheguynamedToby.

There is no amount of posts you have to reach to be able to apply for mod it is just the amount of time you have to wait before you can apply.

I understand WHY new members shouldn't be able to apply for staff right away, however i believe that they should still be able to for these reasons:

New Members want to try they're luck. Which is nothing bad because if you find that they are mature. It will just be a great experience of awesomeness.

And, i believe that if new members say they are willing to provide a lot of time on the forums. Why not let them!

The forum members such as me or the staff cannot trust you even if you're mature, we need to get to know you more like meeting you in-game or talking to us and be active on the forums/the teamspeak 3 server and in-game.

    This has been suggested before.
Well, if there is a month wait, then they most likely will register, do nothing, then try to apply a month later.

New Members shouldn't be mods, because we don't know if to trust them and if they are really dedicated to the community. Getting mod on McBrawl isn't a thing you get within a week of joining (unlike other servers at times). To make sure that our mods are active on the 3 things Brawlers play on we have a requirement for them to have A. 300+ HELPFUL posts on the forums B. A lot of activity in game C. Alot of activity on Teamspeak.
