One of the biggest complaints players will give of all servers is the abundance of players who rather falsely accuse people of hacking or 'hackusations' or simply complain about how everyone is a "noob" because they use a certain gun in the game. Some of these people will repeat it every time they die and it gets irritating hearing it over and over again, so in a thread I posted a solution.

I want to expand on what I posted in the thread, to the point in which there might be a possibility of having it implemented in game. This is the reason why I made this thread.

The idea is simple: censor "hacks", "noob", and any other form of saying these words and instead replace it with an private automated message.

    How it will work.
This will, in theory, work just like any other way of censoring, just that we will change the purpose of censoring profanity words to the "hacks" and "noobs"; only you will have an automated message replied back to you. The general idea of that automated message is to include key terms such as: report evidence at mcbrawl.com.

I say "Hacks", message is blocked. Server replies automatically.

    FC_Merc:
Server: If someone is hacking, please gather evidence and report it at our forums: mcbrawl.com/forums

How it will benefit the community.
I can argue with two simple ideas: a) encouragement to report players and b) peace of mind.

My first response is simple and self explanatory, that the players, if ever confronting a real hacker, will be encouraged to and actually report the users now that they found they can report them. Secondly, our community will have less to get infuriated at now the 'hackusations' and 'noobacusators' are gone from our chat.

    In conclusion.
This idea is very simple and I think it will have a benefit in our community. I hope this idea is considered in implementing in the servers.

I love this idea! I hope it's implemented, because the hackusations now are ridiculous!

I like it, but I think it should be a direct link to the hacker report document thingy.

I remember when I used to be able to log on and people would say "Hello Mrcowlick". Back then the only thing people would complain about was the law Being OP and dying on a 20ks.

This idea is great and I think that it would greatly benefit the sever +1

That seems like a good idea. A majority of the beginners don't really now what to do if they see an actual hacker on the server. However, I think there should be a link in the chat to the hacker report form instead of having to go to the forums because people are more familiar with just clicking the link in chat that automatically opens up a browser to the page for them.
    Damn ninja. :V

You can click links again. I did it a couple of days ago on the voting link and it worked.

Now you would have to be stupid to turn down an idea like this, unless there's something I'm missing.
    • Easier Resolved Problems
    • Less Rage
    • More Playing
    • Better Bans
    • More Reporting
    Why the hell not!!

    Although, players could always just do H A C K S.

It should also be a private message, not public.

I thought that was implied, so people don't spam the message.

And also, what if it senses that you used this word, lets say 3 or 4 times in like a minute or so.
It would like kick you from the game or something?
To make sure people just don't spam the hackusations.

I think hey should be able to do it infinitely, since it's not harmful in any way.

Well, its kind of like spamming and why you get kicked when you send too many messages.
Well, I guess I see what you are saying, since no one can see it anyways.

I like the idea, and I say that simply the link should be altered. My Idea:
If possible, I think it'd be better to have the here there hyperlinked/shortened.
