Stop c4 blasts going through walls.

    It's really annoying, especially in infect, when players c4 you from the other side of a wall. And the blast radius of c4 is massive, so it can easily kill someone on the second floor of a structure, when placed on the first floor. I know people pay for it, and some may have only bought it for this reason, but the benefits of nerfing it outweigh the complaints of donors. I mean, most infect games are ruined because of c4.

    If you feel that infect is being negatively impacted by c4, then I suggest a change in strategy. I no longer use tight spaces to my advantage, as they increase the risk of being killed by c4, and I instead secure an open area. Personally I find it more fun and more challenging to try to survive in an area constantly being flooded, which makes infect a more rewarding experience for me.

    I've also done the same, and i've started to use the l188a and usp to make it even more challenging!

    C4 is supposed to go through walls, if it didn't, how would we get people that are in a spot that can only be C4'ed?
    It's not that massive, it's only like 4-5 blocks in its radius that is affected by it... (Only affects players).
    And when you said "most games are ruined by C4", that is not true, most infect games are ruined by people constantly camping the infect's spawn, people C4/grenade glitching, and people going out of the map.

    The latter to closed spaces is open spaces. Which are death trap for players.

    The blast raduis of 4-5 blocks is big, when you consider the blast radius of a grenade is only about 2-3 blocks.

    I'm pretty sure C4 has about the same radius as a grenade. C4 is supposed to go through walls, that's how it works. You can't have C4 without wall penetration. I would, however, appreciate a damage nerf to C4 in infect and a damage buff in all other gamemodes.

    My strategy: Wherever you camp, see if it's possible for someone to easily C4 you. If it is, move on. If it isn't, happy camping!

    Wait... wouldn't in real life c4s not go through walls? The explosion shockwave and blast would destroy the wall but can't go through it... I'm so confused. The radius in a video game would get you, just a regular IRL c4 as we know it wouldn't be able to do this. Saying that also the c4 will be nerfed in 2.0, I say that we can be patient and just try to find the better maps to play on War (ex. Void_inf, raid_inf, overgrown_inf (all with minigun)

    I'm not sure, but I think that every heart of damage zombies do is OSK. That means a C4 damage nerf is not possible.

    It's easy to fix then. It was (accidentally) done in the test server, so it could be done with some coding... (assuming you're right)

    The real point of c4 is to make it go through walls because then it's just a grenade that you need to place and explode manually.
