People being falsely banned

    Hey guys,

    So recently I've been hearing that A LOT of people have been being banned for "macros". I have even searched my IGN on youtube and found videos of me "macroing".

    It's such a hard problem to tackle I'm having difficulty figuring out where to start.

    First, I'd like to say that everyone who click fast are at risk of being banned, due to staff/players assuming It's fastplace/macros. Recently a lot of people have been getting banned for "macros/fastplace" when they are just fast clickers, as I demonstrate in this video -
    (skip to 2:17, before that is just proving that I don't macro/hack)

    As you can see, it is extremely hard to tell whether it is fastplace, macros, or just a fast clicker (like me and others). This puts legit people at risk of being banned, and I don't know how this problem can be fixed.

    Say, someone posts a video of someone who is legit that looks like he is macroing/fastplacing. He would most likely get banned. He could then appeal and prove that he is innocent (if he has a fast enough computer to record). If you don't have a fast enough computer to record, or you can't provide evidence that what can you do?

    But then what if there is an actual hacker/macroer? You couldn't tell whether hes legit or not? Do you ban him and take the risk of him being a legit player?

    So basically the only resolution is to not ban anyone for apparent macros or fastplace? Well, then the hackers can roam free in harmony can't they.

    Could anyone tell me or think of a solution for this problem? It is pretty serious, because innocent people can be wasting their money buying unbans, the community could shrink harshly.

    UPDATE: I wrote this yesterday, but since then I've been banned for "macros", i used the video above for my ban appeal. kthxbai

    You were putting so much focus into shooting so fast that you couldn't even aim properly. In a situation when you need WASD, hotkeys, and your mouse to click and look around there no way you could do this. In the headshot clip that you submitted you fire both guns so rapidly that your recording program didn't even pick it up, just the fact that you lost a bullet in your clip is how you can tell. Also, you fired such precise shots that there is no way you weren't macroing. You couldn't even aim in this video due to your full effort into right clicking and switching. You weren't switching back and forth in the video too, you were doing one click per gun and it was firing perfectly and very rapidly.

    Like putty said: there is no way that you could do this on the middle of a fight in open ground whilst moving. Also in other vids you also look like macroing and the fact you know all about them and how you sett them up also makes you look guilty.

    Alright. Heres the thing, for the purpose of the video I emphasis that it is possible to shoot that fast. I have my mouse tilted on the side awkwardly on my desk so you can hear my clicks because I don't have a sensitive mic, that is why my aim is so messed up. I have plenty of gameplay of me using my method to kill enemies with precise accuracy. Would you like me to upload some?
    I know about them because people message me on Skype .-.
    Also, if you'd like me to explain how to move and shoot that fast - Try this

    Put your middle finger (rude finger) on W, ring finger on 2 (my barett) pointer finger on my 4, (spas) alternate and click rapidly .-.
    I'd even be willing to go as far as recording my hands while I play ...

    I use 1 and 4. But you didn't get accused of fastplace in the first place if you don't. It's really easy to distinguish fastplacers and people who are legit. People using it or macros shoot 2 guns so fast they appear, in the case of Barrett-spas, that the Barrett shot seems like it's in the spas spray.

    Well, you can always appeal a ban if needed.
    Or buy an unban.
    But if they have to ban you three times, then I don't think you should get another chance. (three times I think is the max amount of unbans you can buy.)

    I am aware that we do in fact have a couple of solutions for the current issues with macros, keep a look out for upcoming changes.

    Defiler obviously macros, when he opens up the windows thing it shows razer synapse 2.0 (look to beginning of vid, it's a black circle with green cloud)

    I was banned twice for macro's.. Won both appeals... I'm sure all falsely banned players will be unbanned once it's resolved.. c:

    Do not worry, I see no evidence of you using any macros. As you know it is not the most brightest people who call you a hacker so a guys using macros so just ignore them at the best you can.
