    Hi, earlier today there was a player on claiming to be from Planet Minecraft, and I was skeptical at first. But he wasn't asking for donations or anything, just a tour, so I took him to an empty server and showed him how to play and answered all his questions.

    He has informed me that he will be posting a very positive review of our servers and that he thinks that this will definitely get us a lot more players.

    I am aware that this might be a scam, he has not yet written the review, but I have a good feeling about this and he will send me it on Skype when he is done :smile:

    A real PMC reviewer wouldn't tell anyone they're a PMC reviewer

    Well, it's nice to see he didn't say anything like "I'm from PMC, gimme dat op." Still, I'm skeptical about this :L

    Most people say things like, "Im from PMC, give me Admin so I can test new things." Or some kind of bull pew like that.
    If he just asks for a tour, whats the harm? The worst thing that can happen is he might DDoS or something like that, but if it were a scam, what would be so bad? I mean, we pretty much have nothing to hide.

    Well, PMC have said they would NEVER say they are from PMC, so I think it's just to get attention.

    Well let's hope it's legit skull, if not it's most likely a scam, be careful of what you get yourself into.

    Yeah.... Don't give out your skype, especially not if they say they are from pmc. If i were you i would change my ip just to be safe.

    To change your IP address you only really need to have your router unplugged for around 10 hours. It then resets and voids your IP and your Internet provider gives you a new IP.
    So I would suggest doing it over night.
