My suggestion is simple: If you report a hacker and they are dealt with appropriately, you could receive an alert, just so you know that you've done something for the community. Likewise, if you report a hacker and the report was false or not actually a rule breaker, you could receive an alert saying so. The alert for the former could be like "Your rule breaker report has been dealt with. Thank you!" and the latter could be something like "Your rule breaker was breaking no rules. Thanks."
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I can clear up any questions you may have. Thank you.

Seeing as we use google docs for out hacker reports, there is no way to set up an alert system. However you could always check the bans section.

Hmmm, I guess I could take the occasional look over the bans database, and update people on what was the outcome of their report after Chris has dealt with it.

Well I guess for the time being you'll just have to check the bans feed, I guess you could get a manual alert from one of the Super mods.

I guess, if you are seriously concerned about the outcome of your reports, you could ask me / chris / gigga to let you know what the out come was.
But most of the time, it isn't necessary.

I do agree to some extent.. Sometimes I've submitted ban reports and I'm unsure whether Chris has not checked it yet or whether it was denied. Then I have to message him which takes up more of his time replying.. Occasionally I see Chris leaving a comment on a video saying "Banned, thanks" Which is nice.. But yeah, I get what you're saying. :stuck_out_tongue:

    I think this is unnecessary.
Do you report hackers so Mods like Chris and Peas can think better of you in Mod Apps? Or do you do it for the community and to get rid of the hackers? Or neither?

Submitting a hacker report should make you feel good anyways.
You'll find out if they are banned sooner or later.

I guess this could help, but I don't see really why it would matter so much.

Chris usually checks everyday, if not more frequently. If you check the ban database after about 2 days of your report and he's not there, chances are it's been rejected. Chris works hard at what he does, and going through the trouble of messaging every person on the forums who reports a rule breaker would just take up more of his valuable time. Sorry, but it just seems like to much work to do manually. I don't think their is an addon for XenForo that does this either.

Cool idea, this would make it a lot easier then checking the bans or asking staff.
