Lets talk - What should be bannable

Actually, C4 glitching and going OOM are both bannable...

 

Yes, for 1 hour...
I think it's just common sense not to C4 glitch, and if so you will either be kicked on banned for time.
Besides, if it was a perm ban we would have way too many players banned.

 

Let's say this. The more times they're caught abusing any type of glitch (ie. LAW, nade, c4, etc), the heavier the punishment should be:

• 1st time = Kick
• 2nd time = Temp ban of 1 hour
• 3rd time = Temp ban of 3 days
• 4th time = Temp ban of 1 week
• 5th time+ = Temp ban of 2 weeks

These punishments aren't as severe as a perm ban, but it should be enough to drill common sense into players that exploiting is wrong.

 

Well, in extreme cases.
Like if you catch them abusing the glitch over a period of time after being repeatedly told to stop, then you can ban them.
But at most you can temporarily ban for a day or two.

Really, anything that expands from OOM, to c4 glitching, to hacking, to anything that is frowned upon can be something you possibly can get banned for. It just depends the extent of the scenario.

 

Everyone has their own system. For me:

OOM:
1st Attempt: Warn them by counting and then kick.
2nd Attempt: Warn them again and kick for 5 minutes.
3rd Attempt: Ban for 1 hour.

Glitching:
1st Attempt: Tell them to end their killstreaks and warn them of the consequences.
2nd Attempt: Kick them. If I have a screenshot from the past of them, it can be a 5-10 minute kick.
3rd Attempt: Ban for 1 hour.

 

Couple of new things:
C4 glitching - 24 hour ban.
OoM - 12 hour ban.
Nade glitching - 8 hour ban.
Offending a player - Permanent ban.
DoX - Perm ban.
DDoS/SWAT/DoX threats - Perm ban.
Abusing a command - 24 hour ban.

I think this should be enforced....

 

Just played with @F18Tomahawk , for a bit, and he repeatedly C4 glitched. Got me thinking to.

 

well some owner of a server called on the hexit modpack banned me for 10 years for calling him a derp(ima wait 10 years to do it again he was like 8)

 

6th time = temp ban 4 life

 

Actually, they are normally kickable. It really depends on the mod who is seeing it and on the person who is doing it. Usually, a ban only fits in this situation when it's too repetitive or when the person is known by glitching. However the person should be kicked before being temp banned.

 

Problem with these two solutions: Mods can only ban for one hour. It's done that way because Mods only usually need to ban for one hour (unless we need a higher staff member to perm ban them), and it's to prevent any abuse from staff. I agree that C4 glitches should probably go straight to the 1 hour ban instead if just a kick (it would get more people to stop C4 glitching), but we follow the rules we are given. I think the rules we have now are pretty efficient. Plus, the C4 glitch is being fixed in the update, so it will no longer be a problem anymore.

 

Honestly i think that repeated noob accusing also should be bannable.

 

If this was the case, 95% of the McBrawl community would be banned.

Sometimes you aren't able to get back in.
But if you are able to, and you get back in, you will not be punished. Just a warn to not do it again in the future.
