Things Making War Go Down

I'll have to admit that all of these are true reasons. In my opinion, the biggest issue are the little 12-year olds who scream in chat and rage. They are extremely annoying, I bet the old days were....if not 1000 times, then 100 times better. I have to agree about SMGs, maybe they should make a teaser or an update on it. Perhaps they could make a mini-update with few guns and new items, or even let us try out SMGs. I bet that putting them in current war's code is a ton easier than placing them into the update. don't kill me if I'm wrong

 

I agree with most of these.
It does get a bit strenuous when the whole server is filled with new players while all of our old friends are leaving.
But, there is no real fix to that and we just have to make do with the things we have

 

Admins don't have to be active on the server to code; Fixing problems like bugs are what the bug reports section is for; Admins don't need to be on the server to code.

In response to your complaint about hackusators: Any minecraft server has them. They can be annoying, but it's just something you have to deal with.

In response to your complaint about the update: I agree that it would be more realistic for them to release mini-updates.

 

I think many players who played mc-war for a wile (not the old players) leave because they hate it when they come online and are hoping/expecting the new update has come out and they see it still hasn't. It's annoying them. After a long time of playing they are bored of mc-war because it's still the same, they need changes.
But, if the community knows or expect the update won't come out soon. Please don't say it will, we now know the problem orange hasn't enough time yet. But the 'coming soon' is now for so long, people don't accept that. I think this is a reason many players leave mc-war.

 

The reason why I left War was because of all the hackusators and ragers. And now that I am going for War mod I guess I have to put up with them, but every server has its ups and downs.

Many players hate this. Things like 'hacker, hacks, h4cks, h4cker, hax, h4x, haxer, haxor, hackor, h4xer, h4xor, h4x0r, h4ckor, h4ck0r, h4xer' have to warn the player for a kick and if they type hack, it doesn't say it in the chat, it's blocked. (Maybe even 'H A C K S' can be blocked and warn the players) I think this will clear the chat a lot.

A lot of these are valid points, but this one is false.
Chickenputty pretty much runs the website now. He's not going to be on War, as it is a moderators job to watch for rule breakers.

 

You brought up some valid points.
On behalf of the hacking, I think we have a pretty good hacking prevention thing.
I mean, I haven't seen many fly hacking people on war.

There are obviously things like X-Ray, minimaps, etc. That don't affect the player's game, but I think there is minimal hacking on War.
But, there are many hackusations, and some.... are not even close to somewhat true.

If you research previous War 2.0 update threads, you would see some reasons why it hasn't come out yet.
And believe me, they want it out ASAP too, because this is pretty much a business they make money out of. More people leaving is like donations running out the front door.
Orange is working on coding, he just, like everyone, has school and work. I believe that all our admins and coders range from High School, to College, and some are in the early stages of life in the world. As in like 20s.

 

There are many things that are bringing MC-War down. The delayed fixes for glitches are keeping new players away, for instance. As well as that, the 31+ players are extremely disrespectful to 31- players, calling them noobs and other rude and hateful things. That's not all 31+ players, it's just a lot of them. I don't think new players are bad at all, it's that the older players are scaring the new players away, not letting them have a good time.
The update is not much of a problem, in my opinion. It would have been better if it wasn't announced to the public....
I personally think that small updates are better than one huge update; it shows the people here that the coders are still alive and kicking.

I am also surprised that the update hasn't come out too, and I am starting to doubt it will ever come out. I haven't seen orange451 around in a long time, servers and forums.

 

This Update isn't coming out. It was annonced back in August 2013, supposed to come out in September, and it is now May. Remember when we joked that it would come out on Christmas because it was taking so long? Been a while, hasn't it?

And the Update isn't the only thing not getting done around here. The admins here have a thing about not getting anything done, but that's another topic.

I definitely agree with what you have written here, we need some changes. Not just on McWar, but on the other servers (especially WarZ) and the forums. But, we've had many threads like this one, talking about the same problems. Nothing changes. McWar hasn't had a major update since *checking update logs* December 1st, 2013. And before that, it was August 2013.

 

For me , every Minecraft servers have hackers and glitchers , while I think War have a good system to prevent hacking and glitching like those plugins and reporting system. If there are a way to remove all the hacks and glitches , this will be very nice , but the fact is there are no way for now.
