Server needs to be more COD-esque

    For a server that advertises itself as COD, it doesn't feel like it.
    TBH, I've never really played COD MP (only MW1 for like, 1 week).

    I do, however, know that COD is a twitch and arcade shooter.
    I see a lot of people pulling the "realism" card.
    Nothing here is real.
    COD isn't real.
    COD is fun. It's arcade.
    If you want realism, go wait for ARMA 3's release.

    Back to the server.
    I feel that a lot of the maps are too big, diminishing the "arcade" feel.
    So I suggest everyone gets a permanent Speed 1 boost.
    Zombies and the Speed perk could be buffed up to Speed 2.

    Yes, I realize this is a big game-changer, and could potentially break maps...
    But I think it'll be a big thing that is needed for the server to be just a bit more like COD.

    The reason speed isn't that high is so people can't parkour to potentially game-breaking locations.

    I addressed that.
    Well, I mentioned it.

    Thinking about it, why don't we have a map barrier that just kills you once you exit...?

    Well then all the maps need to be modified in order to prevent exploiting, then people would complain about all the new broken spots, but if we could get past all that, I still don't think it would be that great of an idea. I've played CoD myself. I think the speed in both games are pretty similar.

    On the big maps, IMO, it takes too long to get into action.
    Especially if your team pushes back to the enemy spawn.
    Smaller maps like Ambush are good.

    If we added default speed, the Speed perk would need to be boosted to compensate.
    Imagine how fast people could run... You would barely hit them at all without the aim of a pro sniper.

    TRIBES: COD EDITION

    Edit -
    To be honest it's already very similar to Tribes.
    COD's guns are hitscan.
    MC-War's guns are projectiles, like Tribes.

    You know, you could always just get of a copy of the game and play that...

    add my setting killstreaks Idea and we are one step foward to be more CoD-esque
    howevfer this is minecraft.... so its like impossible to actualy re-create CoD

    Which is why I said COD-esque.
    I know it's impossible to make COD in Minecraft.
    But for a server that advertises itself as COD, it should be doing whatever it can to make it more similar to COD.

    This sever will never truly be CoD, and I hope eveyone knows that. Just enjoy the server as it is.
