    So since the update, I have been thinking about the SMGs, and how they kind of make other weapons useless. In addition, many of the SMGs now are inaccurate, which is never a good thing. Many of the weapons in War are inaccurate, but it's not too late to fix the SMGs.

    Idea 1: Change the SMGs to make them more accurate to CoD.
    All the SMGs are quite similar, with the exception of clip sizes. I understand why their ROF was nerfed, but the magazine size didn't have to be nerfed too. It just makes the weapons unrealistic.
    The P90 should have its 50 round magazine back. It's an iconic part of the P90, to have its 50 round magazine. Without that, it's not a P90.
    The PP90M1 should also receive a change to its magazine size. It should receive a 36 round magazine, with slightly increased damage to make up for it.
    The MP7 needs a 40 round magazine. Currently, its reload time is too long for a weapon with only a 20 round magazine. If it had a 40 round magazine like it did in the games, perhaps the MP7 would be more usable.

    Idea 2: Damage of bullets will decrease over range.
    In CoD, a bullet flying through the air will gradually decrease in damage. This would be especially useful for those using the SMGs for medium range combat, since they're meant for close range. Basically, as the bullet travels, it will gradually damage less and less until it reaches a minimum damage. This damage drop-off would be highest with SMGs and shotguns, and lowest with assault rifles and pistols. Sniper rifles won't be affected by this, as they are sniper rifles.
    The idea is to make camping with all weapons but sniper rifles more difficult, unless it is at close range or medium.

    Idea 3: Weapon buffs
    With the introduction of the SMGs, the shotguns are almost useless now. Most of the assault rifles are also outclassed by the SMGs. Although the idea above would fix most issues with sniper rifles, there are still the assault rifles and the shotguns to deal with. The majority of the shotguns need either a damage or firerate buff, with the exception of the Model.
    The assault rifles, especially the fully automatic ones, are outclassed by the SMGs due to their lower firerate. Many of the assault rifles in CoD have a firerate of 600 RPM, or a delay of 2 ticks. In War, they have a firerate of 400 RPM, or a delay of 3 ticks. Of course, if the firerate was buffed, they would just be more accurate SMGs. Although this would be a nice idea with the M4, there's always the option of improving other stats, like damage or spread.
    Ammo buffs would also be useful, especially for users of automatic weapons. You drain through your ammo when using SMGs, so extra ammo would be useful.


    I love the SMGs as they are at the moment, they're fun to use. They make the server more balanced, in my opinion. However, they also disrupt some of that balance because they kill so fast. If these ideas were to be added (the first and third ideas would be the easiest to do; it's just simple editing of a configuration file), it could restore some of the balance to MC-War.

    The SMG aren't that good but it's good to see them because the lower levels have a chance of fighting back with them now to balance games out.
    I do agree though that the firerate of certain weapons should be increased as well as their damage.
