Before you read this, let me quickly state that this is not me rambling on about how awful MCWAR is like a little girl. This is merely my opinion about MCWAR at the moment.
MCWAR has in many ways grown from what it used to be. Not only have the numerous MCWAR servers themselves gotten larger, but the server as a whole has expanded into what we now called "MCBRAWL".

This is a positive in many ways. Not only do the mods and admins get more recognition (and credit) for their work, but the owners in general are able to sit back and watch the thriving community of which they created.

This however is not why I am making this thread.

To all who are reading this, I ask one thing of you. Take your mind back a year or two, to around 2012. Can you remember the old "Hardcore Parkour" (commonly called the Rainbow Parkour)? Can you remember the old hut at the top of it? Where you could actually get a minigun (rather than just putting a sign inside a tank which says "sorry, but due to hackers your not getting your minigun, despite the fact that you could be bothered to complete the parkour").

Nowadays I feel as though MCWAR has somewhat lost it's touch, at least from what it used to be. Back in 2012 it was a simple-to-play game, whose motto seemed to be "come online, shoot an ak47, and have some fun". Now, it seems as though it's motto has become "come online, try to shoot an ak47, and get killed by someone using the Raygun".

The SMGs. They seemed to be a thing of the past, after the countless weekends spent on the edge of my seat waiting for them to be released. I honestly think that by the time they came out, people had lost interest in their release. For months and months those signs have been on those walls, taunting us with the possible release of a great close quarters weapon. The reality: a gun with a low damage, a short magazine, a massive bullet spread, and an unbelievably high cost.

Another slight flaw with MCWAR at the moment: the community. The community used to be friendly, welcoming, and strong. There used to be a very small group of elite players, who set an example for others. There used to be an extremely small group of donators, and people with MVP/VIP. These people were recognised for being great players, and were very popular (e.g. Marcel18167).

The old textures, the old guns, the old GUI, gone. The times when people could get a great killstreak and not be called a hacker/glitcher, gone. The times when it was actually possible to get 80 kills on an infect game, gone. The times when there wasn't lag to the point where the game is unplayable, gone.

MCWAR is slowly destroying itself. Whilst the number to show how many people are online may have gotten larger, the number longstanding loyal members has shrunken. The legacy of MCWAR, the "good old days", are now so distant from the status quo that it is getting hard to even remember what the old MCWAR stood for.

These changes have made me strongly think, as well as many others, about my participation in MCWAR. It seems as though there are games where you can actually run 10 feet and not get shot in the face with an explosive arrow...

You may agree, or equally disagree with what I have said. I am not expecting much to come of this, I simply want to raise awareness of what I have said.

    Thanks for reading.

The first 2 thing are wrong
They already removed the minigun at the end of the parcour after a few weeks / months.
And remember in the old time you shot and ak and got killed by a law.
But in the other thing your right mc-war changed.
If mc-war would be today like it would be in the past it would be bigger than any other server.
Luckly this didn't happen because i like mc-war because of the good part of the community and if you look at the big servers they don't have an mcbrawl community.
We all know that the "good" part of the mcbrawl community is almost dead but it is still here a small but very very strong part of the community.

I won't lie, we are changing. Mc-war and now Mc-brawl was destine to grow big. Back then when we had less players, we were closer. Now that we are growing, we need to change. We can't have a small server system when we have become so big. I agree back then was fun. Now that we are trying to integrate into a new system, it will be shaky. It may even be doubtful anything will be fun. However I feel that when we finally change our system completely and get to that other side, we will be closer to that old time you remember.

And I must say I agree. I really miss the time when it was the chat GUI, no scrolling up, and no prestige guns. And only the Minigun, LAW and Flame. I also miss that Rainbow Parkour..

Yes whilst this may be true, back when you got "killed by a law", not many people had it. It was very much a prestigious item, which people envied strongly. If you had a law, you were cool, simple as. And in response to the minigun, yes they may have removed it, but you were able to get it at one point or another. They don't even reward you for completing the parkour anymore. They could at least put like a 1 hour double xp boost or something, but no. MCWAR isn't what it was.

Everyone has their opinion, and the server(s) will change, we are working on better and improved things for the McBrawl community.

Too make more room for this growing community, i believe they should add the other 10-15 missing MC-War servers they used to have back then. The 10 MC-War 40+ player servers there are now leaves no room for new players to train and level up because around the corner is always an isolator or skully ready to kill them. This is probably the cause of lots of raging and an increase in non-loyal players. They cant enjoy the game to its full potential because of this. Instead, they just leave the server. Plus, less people enjoying the game more than likely means less donations. We need more 10-20 and 21-30 player servers, plus the occasional 2-9 player server, so they can level up and see how great this server really is. This is just my opinion atm. Please dont leave negative or threating comments about this, but don't hesitate to leave your opinion on this. Thanks for reading,

What I miss most is the community. Oh, the old community. It was beautiful. There was always someone to say gg at the end of a game. There was always a friendly conversation going on. If someone said something none of us liked, we basically ganged up on them. We helped others, laughed together, and so much more. It is understandable that we now have quite a lot more players. Within those new players come immature ones, and mature ones. Last time I went on, my immediate reaction to the chat was "Oh."

When people didn't complain about what guns you used.
    That was beautiful.

One year ago, mc-war (mc-brawl) was slowly becoming big. We were getting a fan base and becoming a tiny community. We made a great community and then we decided we wanted to get big. Since then, we have been transitioning from a tiny community into a giant one full of connections and different types of people. Dealing with your question about this "system", you are trying to relate times where everyone knew each other and were closer. That was nice however we were bound to grow. The system I'm talking about is going from small communities to large super communities full of hundreds of connections. Both of them are highly different meaning the transition from one to the other will be chaotic.

I remember when people would actually be happy with the servers and everyone was your best friend. Now days it's almost unrecognisable.

In my opinion what started the decay of the server was most older members possibly, and I'm not trying to be rude here but what I've seen in the pass was some member raging against newer players because they ruined their Killstreak thus the newer players when they realised how to get killstreaks and things then started raging aswell since they've seen yellow tags acting this way to them when they were new.

    Just my thoughts.

What if the whole entire server reset itself including the stats of everyone in the server? Just a whole new beginning to everything in the server will probably cause so many people to leave that we can begin a new and better Mc-War community?

And what about all those people who donated for experience and guns. If what you said happened, there would be a major outbreak in raging and threats. Lots of ppl will try to DDoS and DOX the server out of rage. And nobody will donate after hearing about the reset. If that happens, the server will go down. So i dont think this will ever happen, not soon anyways.

Fine just keep what they paid for but still reset their stats. If some people leave, then it'll most likely be the ones who have dedicated their time so much for the server which should be good because those are the people who rage and such.

I agree, that's one of the reasons I applied for moderator in the first place. I wanted to moderate the great community of War. We were great sports, and you were respected for using the Barrett, quick scoping with it. Everyone was nice, and as you said Rainy, we ganged up on people if they acted mean, said something we didn't like, etc. The community was so close back then, and it was great playing back then.
Another thing that I'll remember is how much easier it was back then. In addition to a community that would help you, there were almost no prestige players. We looked up to the level 25 players, who were in clans like NEX, which in my opinion was the best clan @mafiaferret ever made. The prestige guns weren't out back then, so we only had the tier 1-4 weapons. It was so much easier to play with only that, especially since the Barrett was able to one shot. Everything was balanced perfectly. Even after the prestige guns were finally released, they weren't used a lot, because (1. Almost no one was prestige, and (2. The non prestige guns and the prestige guns were balanced, with the prestige guns only being a bit better. It was easier to get kills, and if you killed someone, they would be a good sport. As said above by someone else, the LAW was admittedly OP, but it was rarely used, as it was a more prestigious weapon, if you will. Players would actually use their guns, and the weapons would be balanced, not overpowered. (yes, I'm talking about many of the prestige weapons) Heck, we probably scared Sky away from releasing a showcase on MC-War when he was on because of how unbalanced the prestigious weapons are now.
No matter how much we may want the old MC-War back, it's unlikely that it'll ever happen. We've moved on, with famous YouTubers playing on our servers and making showcases about them. This brings many more new players, some who are questionable in some sort of way. In addition, these new players can't even have a good time, since they can't get a single kill and some prestige players who think they're above everyone else might go act ride and disrespectful to them. It was destined for War to grow larger, though, and this was bound to happen...

The things I would do to play the old war again, I can't even remember the last time everyone was so nice. Hopefully one day we can return to the old days where everyone was such great sports.
On a side note I want the smexy rainbow parkour back  those were the days.
