Memorial Day (USA)

Today is Memorial Day. Many may know this, but before you guys get all wrapped up in the cookouts, parties, or just hanging around with family/ friends, take a moment to remember why we celebrate this day. It's not about all of that stuff. This day is to remember the women and men who had/have the honor and courage of fighting for our country. Today is a day to remember those who have fallen, those who are retired/disabled, those who are currently serving, and even those who will serve. These men and women who have this courage, they have fear just like any of us, but they overcome it, and they stand up for our country. They risk their lives for all of ours. Not many people can have that courage, but many do. I thank all of the men and women who have fallen while fighting for our country, I also thank the ones who currently are fighting, and lastly the ones who will fight for our country. On this day, let's all take a moment and remember our brethren and sisters who are out there today, the ones around us, and the ones who are not able to be home with their families. I love you, I thank you, for all that you do. <3

 

Coming from a military family, I know first hand to know what it is to have someone fight for our country.

Thanks signatured. I am proud to be an American because I know I have troops fighting for my freedoms here, and protecting the country.
