Please up the Flamethrower

    Hello, I am Ra (IGN: saxers) and I love to play Mc - War. I use the Minigun and Python, 2 obviously very good guns. But this is not the point of my thread post. This is about finally uping the Flamethrower enough so that other players will ACTUALLY use it. The Flamethrower does very low damage, being itself; doing more damage over time, this requires time and patience, and can't keep up with the other guns that are involved. In reality, the Flamethrower is a weapon of devastating destruction that burns all in its path. It can kill a person who is not wearing fire - proof clothes in seconds. The Flamethrower should fit more to this kind of description, not what it is right now on Mc - War. I bet players (myself included) feel that the Flamethrower is on the right track to being balanced, but not completely there. What I recommend to do to the Flamethrower is:

    - Making the Fire either last a VERY long time, and do little damage. / Making it do 2 whole hearts of damage at a time.

    - Making the Flamethrower have 2 ammo clips, each containing 32 bullets.

    - The Flamethrower should not have such a BIG incendiary range, but more close concentrated bullets

    - The Flamethower should have a relatively long reloading time, saying that when one gas tank is empty, then it should take quite a while to switch valves to reload more gasoline.

    To me, this would be the balanced Flamethrower, moderate damage over time that can devastate tons of people, while having quite a long reload time, so he / she couldn't just keep on using it over and over again. Please take this suggestion in mind of having genuine concern for this gun, it just can't stay in the shadows anymore. This gun has been way too unbalanced for far too long, it needs to be able to burn in the light! Most likely lots of players have been wanting to use this gun for such a long time but couldn't because it wasn't balanced completely, if the staff did upgrade this gun to the standards above, I would choose the Flamethrower over the Minigun in a heartbeat.

    Perhaps the accuracy should be increased, I support that, but I don't think the flame effect should be changed in duration or damage. At it is, it can take down a good 4 hearts including healing factor. In my opinion, that's enough. If you make it any more powerful, then it will just become an instant death machine gun. Anyone who gets caught on fire is going to die unless they can make it to water. Currently, at least you stand a chance if you kill the wielder fast enough.

    That is a good point, you don't want it to be a death machine, I understand that, and I don't want it either. What I'm saying is that it takes way too long to receive that damage, because you can get sniped or mowed down by someone else. My idea is to not have such a long time as right now, but do significantly more damage than before. That way, if someone else tries to mow a Flamethrower person down, then at least the Flamethrower person may be able to take them down with them. Imagine half the fire time, but double the damage; that way it would be the same but more fair to the wielder.

    i got my first 3 nukes with flamey a loong time ago.. i still sometimes nuke with it..
    it is ridiculously strong against groups. if there are 5 people with bad guns walking in a corridor you can just spam your flame at them and they die with the biggest ease... as far as i say the range is the only problem i have with it.
    further then that it is a very good weapon

    The flamethrower gives a very unique advantage to the player. When you're on fire, the default texture covers half the screen. In addition to this, you are taking fire damage, as well as damage from the gun itself, as I assume the enemy will continue to fire. Once you have been damaged by the flamethrower, you will almost always come out of the fight with significantly low health, if any at all.

    It's attack is very unique, but when I use it it doesn't do very well in open range. This is why we should at least up the accuracy if nothing else; but I still believe that we should up the damage and down the fire time. When you take damage (usually about 4 hearts of damage) the Flamethrower wielder needs to hide while the fire does its damage. My idea is that you do the same amount of damage, just more fire damage and less fire time. You usually take about fire for 6 - 10 seconds, which adds up to about 4 hearts of damage. My idea is to cut the time in half, and double the damage amount; so when you shoot it will do the same damage, but less fire time. This would make it more fair to the user.

    I just recently bought the flamethrower and I am very satisfied with it, it is OP if you know how to use it. A lot of people don't seem to know, but it has splash damage. I can typically kill someone in less than 1 second and use less than 10 bullets, so I think a flamethrower buff would be pointless

    as jacques already said flametrower is good inaf, i died lots of times by a guy whit flametrower in less then 3 seconds
