New WarZ Map - Time to revisit the zones

    New WarZ Map - Time to revisit the zones

    So, as most of you have been commenting that the zones are a bit of a mess. Before the map was implemented they seemed to make sense. I think this was due to us thinking that big towns should have iron gear, like the old map. However, this map doesn't have small starter towns making spawning players able to get geared very quickly.

    With that said, I would like to see everyone's ideas on how the zones should be laid out.

    Above is a top render view of the map with the towns squared in.
    Big towns = yellow
    Med towns = purple
    Small towns = orange
    Military bases = red

    I want everyone to think of the best way to lay out the map. So, take the image into paint and write the zone that each town should be. The box colors are just there to help you as a guide. You probably don't want to just make all yellow towns zone 6.

    Feel free to put the spawns where ever you think they will work best. Probably southern away from the "nether".

    Think of how the map will flow. Will it take a long time for players to gear up? How will running around the map progress? Will noobs find diamond right away? Will diamond players find noobs right away?

    Here is some spawns of items if you didn't know:

    I personally like the way the map is. Gives some people lucky spawns close go zone 6 or 5 Areas.

    Change the snows around instead of having the little one zone 6 make the big on zone 6 and little one zone 5 @chickenputty

    I like how the map is, but maybe we can spawn next to a zone 2 town. Keep the zone 4 spawn for a little luck maybe?

    I posted the map I edited on the forums yesterday if you want to check it out. It has all the correct zones marked (went to each zone) and names for each of them to hopefully to use some global naming system. https://www.brawl.com/threads/16487/

    Huh? What's wrong with what I posted?

    EDIT: Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the post. I said it was useful due to the picture of the current zones you provided. Oh well, we all make mistakes.

    I would advise keeping the towns at the bottom of the map as zone 2. That way you don't spawn with starter gear and have to fight irons who got armor before they even had enough food to go to a different town.

    Then that means that EVERYONE that has gear will be up north. I prefer that it's mixed and battles are mixed.
    Variety is always good!

    Mixed battles are nice when it's iron vs diamond, but iron vs leather is a bit unfair, in my opinion.

    Haven't seen leather, people are complaining about how easy it is to get Iron. Zone 4 & 5 near spawn, don't see how this can be any different. Kappa.

    When you have zone 4 and 5 near spawn, that's what causes the problem. You spawn in in leather armor, probably without a gun. You walk into the nearest town, and it's full of full irons with t3 or t4 weapons. You don't stand a chance.

    Depends on the rank of the players. Run into a house open a chest and viola most likely there will be something in there to fend off the attackers with. Plus, who doesnt have MVP or a team to play with?

    I like all the zones exept the towns in noobland which should be zone 2/3
