MINI VS RAY

It depends on the map and the gamemode.
If you are in infected, then most people will choose to the Raygun, providing that they own it. And depending on the map for TDM based gamemodes, people will use either.

Personally I don't think that there is a "better" gun overall. It all depends on if you have scav, how good you are, and (not so much) who's on the team to if you get a better KDR or score.

 

Ray is only useful for infect, while mini is universal. I'd suggest both, since ray can carry out a ton of stuff in infect, while mini can get you nukes in TDM/CTF and it is really good for both FFA and infect. It is up to you, after all.
Personally, I have both, but my main preference is mini. I got it for free, by the way.

 

Minigun is good for every gamemode. Ray isn't.
Minigun has no reload. Ray does.
Minigun fires 2 bullets per shot,with an extremely high RoF. Ray doesn't.
Minigun bullets can hit players. Ray Gun lasers can't.
Minigun starts with 64 shots. Ray only has 16.
Minigun requires a bit of skill to effectively use. Ray doesn't. (at least for infected)
They're both pay to win.
Your choice, although the minigun is a lot better jn my eyes.

 

Le Minifun. It's the most versatile donor gun. It's also very good in Infect.

The Minigun is a lot better than ray, saying that in infect they are just about the top 2 guns.
In infect, the ray has splash damage that will kill several zombies at once, with one shot. Minigun uses around 30 bullets to kill a zombie crowd, however they don't have reload. (Ray wins)
In TDM/CTF, (if it Minigun is pay2win) the Minigun is lethal and sends the player flying from all the bullets, and blinding them from hit marks and bullets flying. Ray is not as affective and you won't be able to nuke with it as fast as a 45 second Minigun rampage nuke, which is perfectly possible. (Mini wins)
In FFA, I have seen 40 second FFAs with the Minigun that just obliterates your enemies and gives you a speedy win, and it is flawless, maybe even a nuke if you kill 2 people at once. (Mini wins)

 

Ray for infect and minigun for anything else because of some of the reason stated from the people above.

Anyways, it depends on the person's play style, gamemode, and map.

I also really hate these sort of threads. :L

 

Mini is good for all game modes. If you can find a good camping spot for infect=OP. If there is a lot of people on for Tdm in groups=OP. If it's FFA it's got super fast speed=OP. So I have to go with minifun.

 

You forgot one thing
Ray is confirmed to be getting a nerf in War 2.0, minigun isn't.

Judging from how things are going with the mini gun so far, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to receive a nerf in the update or a bit after that.

 

The only reason why it could be considered OP is because it has no recoil right now. Then again, same with the Model, Python, and those other powerful weapons.

Unless it is WMD, then you want to take up your Minifun..

Because it's fun launching hordes and hordes of bullets at your enemies who are only wearing flimsy leather armor.

 

Both of these weapons have their goods idea and their down sides, it is impossible to say which one is the best since they are not the same style of weapon.
