    This is not something that Mojang implemented, you can change those messages when creating a resource pack. Try swapping it to the vanilla minecraft one, and you will see that there will be different messages.

    This can be edited with notepad in the splash.txt file located in the WinRAR/7zip resourcepack file.
    Edit - God dammit, I just got nina'd by Greedy .-.
