The ray gun is the worst donor weapon added to mc war

We should just remove it and replace it with another donor weapon. One that actually fires bullets. Anyone who has or donated for this weapon will receive the new weapon.

 

The nerf you are suggesting was how the Ray-gun was before it got that massive explosion. I absolutely agree with this.

 

35/45 people having a ray gun is a over exaggerated. But, I agree with you guys on nerfing or even just removing it completely.

 

I wouldn't say remove because that would be a backstab but that just nerd it to a point that it will be barely used. Maybe it could be used as a buy able weapon with credits only available for infect.

 

I would like this, as would many. However, some would not like it, especially if this new donor weapon wasn't OP. (cough cough people who think they're skilled by spamming their ray gun cough cough)
The Ray Gun is extremely unbalanced in infected. It can kill someone in one hit with super armor and juggernaut. The only thing that can escape its OSK besides spawn protection is the root.
Honestly I would change it to remove its explosion or make it a lot smaller, and have it actually be able to hit a player instead of the laser going right through. In addition, CoD's Ray Gun has a laser that moves slowly, so maybe that as well.

 

I agree with this, but I wouldn't remove the ray gun. Just give it a radius nerf for the explosion.

Plus, this is also the same concept with the mini gun on ffa. 96% of the time whoever won ffa used a mini gun.

Nerf it so instead of having a massive explosion, like @F1r3tar said, It could maybe just be Direct OSK? I mean, that way you actually need to aim.

It is going to be nerfed so that it will only explode if it hits a entity aka player.

I agree, I think it needs to get nerfed.

 

Woah woah, guys let's take a step back and look at this.

1. We've already been told that a nerf is coming
2. The easy way to beat ray gun spamming is c4 (I don't have any but that's why you need to escort your c4 players)
3. This gun has been in circulation with people complaining about it for long enough that I can say with confidence that: the Admins have more important things to worry about then a slightly overused weapon.

This is my opinion, hopfully I don't get flamed?
(And I'm not talking to you guys who suggested a nerf)

 

this is completely incorrect. The zombies have a chance with c4 and grenades and there are many infects in which ray is not that good, for examplec cargo. And if you have the ray-gun you can get great games and have fun with it.
So dont remove it

 

Even with people that use the raygun, unless its in a map with op spots, infect wins 90% of the time.

 

I do agree with bobaddie somewhat, I am not a donor and i do not have any donor weapons.So for me when im in infect and i see a person with a ray gun i go in the oposite direction, well because i want to get some kills to! Ray guns always steel my kills and it get really annoying after a while. It should at least get debuffed in my mind not a one shot ko. But then again zombies have c4 which is a complete other story. It just depends on your point of view, or how you look at the situation.

 

Remove the AOE and make it instakill all the time, and allow it to pass through players.

That's my suggestion.

 

If it passes through players and has no AoE, how can you get a kill with it? (unless it kills anyone it passes through... no way)
