    That is a mod you're talking about, not a texture pack.
    You may have your keys unbound for sprint, try fixing them in Controls.
    Next time post these things in the Q&A section.
    This may be that your sprint is glitchy and is at 0, in that case break a grass block with your pistol or break a piece of glass at spawn.

    The client does not affect sprint.
    If it is a glitch where your sprint/hunger bar drains to 0, kill yourself ingame by breaking a block or letting someone kill you, then sprint somewhere. That usually fixes the bug.
