    When Mojang released Beta for Minecraft, they mentioned that those who bought the game after the release wouldn't be garunteed a free update. So my question is do you have to pay for the major updates? I bought the game pre-beta :stuck_out_tongue:

    I'm not quite sure what you're saying here.
    Let me tell you what I'm hearing: If you buy Minecraft after a certain stage, you won't be allowed to update to new versions unless you pay?

    If you bough the game in Pre-Beta you have already been through ~15 mayor updates..

    I know Jacob. Put in pre-beta they said something along the lines of if you didn't buy the game before beta, you wouldn't have to pay for updates.

    Updates are free if you have bough the game, no matter Beta or not.ø
