    McBrawl Moderator Application:

Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? - I find myself to have become much more active, maybe even more so than my time as mod. I'm a regular player on the servers, especially FpsHg ever since it's release logging on daily and staying for an 2-3 hours or more, even more so on Teamspeak. I'm also an avid member on the forums with 2000+ posts up to date. As for being helpful, I try to be wherever and whenever I can. Whether it be a player on the servers asking for help or a member on the forums needing clarification. Needless to say, I believe I'm active and helpful enough to suffice in these 3 area's.

Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? - I've honestly lost count at the amount of reports I have submitted. During my time as mod and before, I submitted countless reports and still am to this day. In fact, just yesterday I managed to post a report of a player hacking in the hub. Of course with my powers as a mod, this number could only increase.

How old are you? - I am currently 14 years of age

What time zone are you in? - Eastern Standard Time

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - I believe I have slightly more knowledge of Minecraft than the average player due to the fact I'm always willing to learn. I had bought the game around Mid-Beta and started out just like every other player, not knowing much. I quickly joined basic survival servers and whatnot to get myself familiar with the game functions and mechanics. After I nailed them down, I started to find myself join more and more servers and as of such, more and more communities. Eventually during all this wandering, I had found Mc-War and instantly fell in love with it. Making myself a regular player, I made myself comfortable with the players and community. I soon found that there was a forums page to accompany the servers and quickly made an account as well. This wen't on for a good 2-3 months before I decided to try my shot at moderator and what do you know, I got it! Soon after, I tried for the position as a WarZ mod and had achieved that too. For about 5 months, everything was going great until I started falling into inactivity due to real life problems interfering. This lead to my demotion for inactivity but now I'm back and ready as ever!

What is your experience with moderating servers? - Like I've mentioned in previous applications, I've helped moderate on numerous servers. The first and foremost being a basic survival server with no actual name that I could find. The server had 2-5 new members daily and an average of 30 players on at all times. After joining, I quickly became an active and helpful member on the server much to the owners pleasure. Due to this, I logged on one day to see that I had received a promotion to moderator. I kept climbing up the rank ladder until I had reached the rank of an Admin. For a couple of months, everything was running smoothly until the server had to shut down due to a mass grief. The next server was just a small one that my friend put up as an experiment. The server never really took off so it closed itself off and became private in just a week. The last 2 in my opinion are the biggest ones of all and where I earned most of my experience from. Mc-War and Mc-WarZ. Getting promoted to moderator on a server with such a large amount of players was a huge step up for me. I learned so many things about moderating that I don't think I would learn from any other server. This to say, I do think I have enough experience to handle the role of an FpsHg mod.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - If I do get this position, my top priority will become making FpsHg the best it can be whenever I'm on. Sure, I would fulfill the generic roles such as chat clean up and catching/reporting hackers but I'll do so much more. I'll strive to make sure players feel welcomed on the server and not feel threatened in any way. I already try to do this without my role as a moderator and getting the position would only make everything so much better. Why? Because as a moderator, you have authority. The only way you can deal with chat spammers is to tell them to stop. If they don't listen, try to call in another mod to disarm the situation. Alas, there are not always mods on so the situation sometimes runs rampant. As a moderator, I would have authority and people would most likely listen which in return, keeps the server clean.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes, once, more so as of curiosity of what they can do rather than causing mayhem on a server. I believe you would agree that using one only makes you more familiar with them and the result of that, making catching hackers much easier as you know what they can do. Needless to say, I won't be touching one again and especially never be using on one of our servers.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - Yes, usually because of abusive admins and unfairness. A quick example would be getting banned on a survival server for having too many resources.

How active do you consider yourself in-game? - Relatively active, getting on for 2-3 hours a day and sometimes even more switching from server to server. I also try to be as helpful as I can as I have explained above.

How active do you consider yourself on TS3? - I'm usually on Teamspeak for more hours than I'm on the servers now. Sometimes, I may not be able to get on due to something happening on the day but aside from that, you can usually find me on the Teamspeak.

How active do you consider yourself on the forums? - Usually if I'm on a computer, I'm on the forums. With a steady post count that is increasing everyday, I am quite active here. Like I said before, I currently have 2000+ posts and always aiming for more.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - My patience. Very rarely I get fed up due to something happening slowly and because of this, I'm much more tolerant towards players. That being said, you'll very rarely find me getting angry over something.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - Guilt. I sometimes have a lingering feeling of guilt when I ban or kick someone. Sometimes even as going to say sorry to them. Needless to say, I can push aside the feeling.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? - Give them a warning message to tell them to stop whatever they are doing or else they would be kicked.

How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? - They obviously did not adhere to my warning and would get a kick from the server.

How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? - They certainly aren't to keen on stopping and would find themselves to be banned from the server for an hour.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? - Apologize for the mistake, thank them for the clarification and move on.

What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? - Start a conversation with them stating the rule they have broken, where they have broken and tell them that if they do it again, a higher ranked staff will deal with them.

When would you lock a thread? -

-The topic going off topic even after warnings

-Flame wars that are not showing any signs of stopping

-A lock request from the owner

    -The original topic being solved

    -A spam thread

-A post completely violating the rules

Note: If the post needs deletion or edits, I would instantly report after I lock the thread.

Describe yourself in 3 words: Friendly, Patient, Mature

Anything else we should know about you? - Nothing that comes to mind at the moment. Everything I wanted to say has already been said.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? - The first step would be a personal message, telling the player to get back in the map. If the player refuses, a public message would be issued directing them to make there way back into the map. If they still do not agree, they would be kicked. If the player is in a position in which they can't get back in the map, they would receive a message telling them that they would be kicked and not to go out of boundaries again.

Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? - I believe I have general knowledge of all the commands and plugins of the servers. I may have to be alerted of new commands that were added during my absence as mod.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? - I completely understand that if I abuse my powers or disrespect other players, my powers will be stripped.

+1, you're active on TS3 and forums, and the only thing that could be improved on is your in-game activity. Best of luck!
